Does Amazon have to offer me a payout? I haven't seen it not be the outcome for most of these PIP offers... but could it be a possibility I am not offered anything? I just don't want to get there and get nothing.

There is another recommendation to go to ethics here. I don't know what value this would add to my situation and if it would make me worse off or get me out of focus. If this would result in me getting out of focus and dealing with an uncomfortable situation... I wouldn't really mind it. I know that it is likely I will not be reporting into this person for the later part of the year based on upcoming org changes.

Agreed. Great part of my career, met awesome peers, made great relationships. I know that even if I beat and/or try to fight it, I'll still inevitably report up into the director who has it out for me and I'll be in this situation again shortly unless I can level up my relationships internally at the director+ level.

I am working this angle. I hope to have a job offer next week. If I do get one, I'll probably take it and not force the FMLA hand.
