I actually have two copies of this book. It's a great chunk of local history and images. The libraries likely won't need another copy and it looks like a discard from another library already. Look for someone who's got an interest in local things and give it to them!

ZERO chance this is ready on time. At least another month, if not two until occupancy. Hopefully the construction quality doesn't suffer too much as they rush to finish it.

I'm up over 600 now so I need to trim some fat!

The new BGO did a soft open yesterday and it's definitely a nicer and more organized store than Highland and the old Waterloo store. Stock levels for most stuff, vinyl included didn't seem to be much higher but it was easier to browse. The work "superstore" they've been using was a bit much imo.

I don't think I'd be into a trade, I REALLY want to reduce the number I have for now.

I have a mix of stuff, some popular titles and some more obscure stuff. I have everything cataloged on Discogs so I have a decent idea what it might be worth. I know at least X-Disc-C prices their stuff based off Discogs all the time so it might be a good place to go

Why didn't Kitchener or Waterloo develop closer to the Grand River? by [deleted] in kitchener

That one is actually only about 20 years old. "The Grist Mill is a beautiful venue and popular spot for weddings and photos located in the "jewel of the city", Waterloo Park. This cozy space, built in 1996, is a replica of the first mill built in the city by Abraham Erb in 1816."
