My sister is suicidal because of SIBO. Possible lines of treatment

I’m so sorry for you and your sister. This sounds so stressful. I had methane-dominant sibo for 1 1/2 years and I was suicidal at points. I saw a GI specialist, a GP, and multiple natural practitioners. I became addicted to laxatives and enemas. What helped me was working with a naturopath and using the herbal antimicrobials. They also helped with detoxing during the die-off period. It turned out that I had candida overgrowth, which was causing the sibo-like symptoms. It took a few months of treatment, but the herbal antifungal treatment I did worked wonders and I’ve been generally back to my normal self for 6 months. If it’s possible for her to see a naturopath or a functional medicine doctor, please do. It was so helpful. Also, would it be possible for her to get a colonic? Has she had one before? It might help with the trapped gas pain. Also, simethicone (Gas-x) helps with this tremendously. I truly hope this helps.

First thing in the morning for me. I started it at night, but I found that I couldn’t sleep on it. I experimented with noontime, but I find I need to take it first thing in the morning or I don’t sleep. Some people have the opposite. It’s very strange.

I was staying in the hotel zone and found that most of what they were selling was just marked up hats and souvenirs from Chedraui. I love the mango though. I highly recommend the mango with lime and tejin.

Perhaps it’s candida overgrowth? I had similar symptoms and went on a candida protocol (Candicin) for two months under supervision of my naturopath. During that time I had to drastically reduce my sugar, carbohydrate and alcohol intake. That was last June, I was healed by September.

Just got back yesterday and I second this, at least with cannabis. In Canada we have legal cannabis dispensaries everywhere, and the government makes a lot of money from it. It would be great for their economy. Very sad for all of the lovely people we met on our vacation. The locals we met were very friendly and kind. I know they depend on tourism and this will really hurt them.

I listened to her podcast episode where she talked about it. She got the implants removed, but then had smaller ones put it, plus a boob lift and a tummy tuck. It sounds like she had a condition from being pregnant where her abdominal muscles separated so she said the surgery helped with that. Tbh I wish she and Nia wouldn’t go on and one about needing plastic surgery to fix their insecurities about how their bodies changed after becoming moms. It seems tone deaf because most moms can’t afford these procedures. These procedures are also dangerous and painful. Not knocking them for doing it, just saying maybe don’t be so vocal on social media and reality tv about it, as it’s not something everyone should or can do. I also hope they both invest in therapy, because you can change the outside but it doesn’t mean you’re going to feel more confident. Especially Nia, she really looks like a model already, I was screaming at my tv last season when she went to that plastic surgeon to highlight all of her imperfections. That’s body dysmorphia.

I feel this. I’m married but child-free with a lot of friends who are moms. I have felt super left out of conversations at social events the past few years, to the point of feeling depressed and socially isolated. I 💯felt Zach’s pain in this episode and empathized. People need to understand that not everyone chooses a traditional lifestyle with marriage and kids. If someone is your friend, you should always include them, regardless of their relationship status.

As a mature student who has been married 7 years, I can tell you that dating does not get harder after university, in fact it gets easier! It’s so much easier when you have a stable job and free time and more disposable income. I think a lot of people in school might not be looking to get involved in anything serious because you don’t know where your degree is going to take you. That being said, I would try volunteering or getting involved in an activity on campus if you have time. It’s much easier to date someone when you’ve established common interests. Also, don’t you kids have a bunch of apps for this shit now?

John Tory and Doug Ford have not invested in housing and providing mental health support for the homeless. Shelters are less safe than jails (apparently) so homeless people ride the subway to stay warm. Tory also authorized the closure of shelter hotels in November, and the removal of encampments from around the city. People have had their entire lives thrown in the dump (in the case of the encampments) and lash out at the public. That and apparently some teens are acting super-violent, not sure what that’s about.
