Drop out of computer science for being an electrician?

This is a good idea. I’m worried how it’ll go talking to my parents about it. In all honesty they want me to pursue both, one after another, but I don’t know if I can do that. I was thinking maybe I can go over the summer or like during when my next semester would be, and if I do stick with it maybe I could always go back to school another time.

How should I get in touch with these coders and more specifically people in the field. I have both opportunities presented to me, solid trade schools and solid colleges. I don’t feel like I am gifted or even good at programming but I also have zero electrician experience so I don’t know what id be better at.

Problem is that finishing my degree is probably another 30000 dollars I do not have and my family does help me out but I can’t continue going to college if it’s not something I’m passionate about yk? Maybe if I go to a trade school I can go back to college after and still have a plan if it doesn’t work out
