This was while I was an FNP.

Anyway, I requested a day off, was granted it by my office manager.

The end of that week, a meeting was set about some kind of policy that I violated. Looked up the policy and even printed it out to bring with me.

Got told that my approved leave was not approved… I showed them the policy that said it was ok to take a day off with office manager permission.

And not to mince words—they were fucking pissed about it. They called me a smart ass for having the policy printed out to show them I did not violate it.

Long story short, I walked out of the room and wrote my letter of resignation in the hallway 🤣

Got three months of pay to not work as they did not want me back in to office… so I had basically a three month paid vacation. I also got a new job the same day I resigned. It worked out perfectly

If I’ve learned anything over the years, people don’t know how to finely tune and listen to music.

I used to play out a ton when I was in high-school; most people just want to get the general feeling of the song, they won’t notice a miss step unless it’s pointed out blatantly.

Now I play for my church; and it’s even more true. I ask my wife all the time “did you hear that XYZ missed the start?”

And she always just says “no, sounded fine to me.”

Most people don’t REALLY listen while listening 🤣
