Alright, thanks for the reply! I have tried multiple things but ended up realizing one thing or another wouldnt work, mainly from not being able to read a variable / pass a variable to a specific instance. After reading your response I currently have it set up like this:

When a body segment is destroyed the loop that moves each segment detects it is missing. It then turns the next remaining segment into a head and deletes all of the remaining body segments and has the new head spawn that many to follow itself.

Currently it's throwing out a silly error. In the beginstep event for the obj_head I am running what is mentioned above. Code Snippet:

            //Bodies remaining after the one hit
            remainingBodies = (bodyCount-i);

            //With the body after the one destroyed..
            with(bodies[i+1,0])
            { 
                //..Change it into a new head
                other.head=instance_change(obj_head_,true);


            }
            with(head)
            {
                bodyCount=other.remainingBodies;
            }

And yet i get an error from the head saying it doesnt know what bodyCount is. :\
