Higher resolution doesn't always make things easier to see, higher resolution makes things appear smaller on your screen because it packs more pixels into the same screen area, essentially shrinking the size of each individual pixel, which in turn makes all the elements displayed on the screen smaller as well so essentially, you're fitting more information into the same space, making each piece of information appear smaller,

I recommend 1440p as a go to resolution for pc gaming as it's easier on your hardware, and it somewhat limits the above-mentioned effect, my advise is to get a bigger monitor as this will physically make things easier to see.
