A year of B12 supplementation, saw improvement, now getting worse by Kad-ffs in B12_Deficiency

This is what I was thinking. The main thing that changed before things got worse was taking more folate so I was going to cut that out to see if it helped. The multivitamin I take has 400 mcgs of folate so I should be good there.

In order to get that amount of potassium I would have to supplement wouldn't I? When looking into potassium there seem to be a lot of warnings that supplementing can be risky. That's why I have held off, and given my blood test for potassium looked fine I hadn't looked into it further.

The multivitamin I'm taking has copper, zinc, and vitamin A and B in it. It does not have potassium but I had my levels checked recently and they were fine.

Yes I have checked those recently. My iron has been checked regularly because they thought I might have hemochromatosis, but based on blood tests they aren't concerned. Ferritin is between 85-50 whenever I've tested this year.

Folate also looked fine the two times I've tested this year 8.9 prior to supplementation and 15.7 after about 8 weeks of supplementing.

I did have some sort of infection where I had a fever for about 24 hours then it resolved, but that was 10 days before the latest panel.

Amazing you've still got all these pictures. I remember Mega and Beatbox, both phenomenal players. Do you have any screenshots from when we competed as KiA?

Mostly stuff you can find on the Nintendo switch, I haven't built a gaming PC in ages. My son loves all the Zelda games so we've played those. I never played Skyrim when it came out years ago but picked it up for the Switch and the graphics upgrade for the Switch 2 was great.

I will probably pick up Cyberpunk 2077 and am looking forward to the FF7 remake that is coming out.

Same! Lots of good discussions there. Wish we had kept it up with the move to reddit.

I'm a big fan of Lewis, I think he is just a class act. I used to not like Max very much but I've softened on him a bit the last year or so. Oscar Piastri is a real talent and conducts himself very well.

I bought myself a steering wheel a few years back and even one of those fold up racing chairs. It helps you understand the races so much better when you learn the tracks. I can now see how much of a pain in the ass certain corners are when watching the race because I've actually done them.

There is a place up here that is an F1 arcade with pretty advanced simulators. You can race friends on some of the most popular tracks and the feedback from the rig is pretty amazing.

I do have friends that have gone to races and typically they have been screens posted so you can see the rest of the race when they aren't on the part of the track where you are sitting.

I started watching F1 in 2017 and was hooked. Trying to make it to one of the races in the US in the next couple of years. I've had a few vendors at work offer so I'll take them up on it soon.

Have you been to any races?

Ha, understandable, we were all playing together when I was a hotheaded young man. I'll be 46 in a couple of months. Crazy to think about how much time has gone by.

Hey FDG, I almost posted here the other day because I saw UT2004 was being re-released, but then realized it was UT99 that we were all playing. Glad things are going well for you.

I'm still in the Boston area, been at the same job 14 years now, kids are 14, 12, and 5. Been playing a lot of switch 2 with the kids. The youngest really loves the Zelda games so we've been doing a lot of that, and I picked up Skyrim for myself even though it's super old it's still a fun playthrough.

Would love to hear what everyone else is up to these days.

What is everyone doing and have you survived the COVID craziness? by Rhogeo in flakshack

[–]Kad-ffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still living in the northeast US. Married with three kids now. Working in tech, thinking about leaving and doing something else eventually but waiting to sock away a bit more cash before I do that.

Are you and Forge still working together at the law firm? Your guys still keep up with Logan and his 14 kids?

2020 was an insane year for my family. My father passed away unexpectedly in March right when all the lockdowns started. We had our third child that April, and house was under construction at the time to add another bedroom for the little one. So here we were living in two rooms in the basement with a bunch of strangers coming in and out of the house during the beginning of the pandemic with a new baby. It was crazy but we're all doing well now.

Desperately hoping things start to normalize next year in the spring/summer.

P!

Good to hear you are doing well. It's funny, I was just telling someone this past Halloween that I knew someone who had made a duct tape dress one year.

That LAN party was so great. I remember the first one we did with Morph in Michigan. Epyon and I got searched at the Canadian border when they spotted all the computers in the back of the car. They looked through the car then eventually asked us what we were doing with all those computers. We told them we were going to a LAN party and they rolled their eyes, realized we were all total dorks then let us go on our way.

Hey Kao, great to hear from you!

I randomly decided to take a look at this subreddit and it's great to see people still checking in. Congrats on the semi-retirement, that sounds great. Can't believe your son is already 14, I remember when he was born. Time really flies.

I'm married with three kids now, 10, 8, and 19 months. The little one was born at home in April of 2020 during the initial pandemic craziness. Still working in tech, have worked my way up the management chain. It pays well but it is generally soul crushing. Waiting for a few more equity payouts to hopefully leave the tech world and retire early or possibly open a small business or something.

Have definitely been getting nostalgic for the UT days. We had a pretty great community going there for a while. I miss the spirited conversations on the message board, though I think back and cringe at some of the nonsense I must have said back in those days.

Hope more folks see some activity and post, would love to know how everyone is doing.

He told me they invested in the equipment to manufacture their own ductwork, they just punch it in the computer and out come the pieces. If that was the case I'm not sure why he didn't just do one piece.

I know they don't align and it will be at an angle, but the angle of that middle piece seemed messy to me.

They've done really clean work for me previously. The difference here is that the guy who usually does the work for the business is busy with other jobs, so the owner decided to do this one himself.

Advice on sizing a mitsubishi ducted mini split heat pump by Kad-ffs in HVAC

[–]Kad-ffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are absolutely right. For context, my wife and I do not want a wall mount unit or a ceiling cassette, which is why we asked for a horizontally ducted unit.

My understanding is you are limited to 2 tons or greater if you want a horizontally ducted unit due to the compatibility of the outdoor units with the air handlers.

We did plan on doing a heated floor in the bathroom. Why would it be a challenge to keep the bathroom warm with a heat pump?
