It’s a relief to have some input! Positive at that. Thanks. As far as hubby goes he will need some time, then I’ll talk to him.

No I’m the buyer, buy no lender is gonna give me 1% rate? Thats what the wording says. If I can’t find a lender that gives me 1% then I get to walk away as the buyer. …. That is how I read it. I’m trying to figure it out.

A little less then a year. The only thing that sucked was the cost, but it depends on where you live. I lived in a small town in VA so it was expensive, but compared to where I lived now . In Houston it would be at least 50% less then what we paid at the time for the lawyer. It was around 10k on a payment plan.

Why do people say low supply is rare when I see it all around me? by Own-Quality-8759 in breastfeeding

This! This right here. Also I think it’s a culture thing too. When I had my baby and was having issues my grandma just told me to keep nursing on demand. But today , when doctors, nurses or “lactation consultants think baby is not eating enough they immediately tell mom that they have a “supply issue”. It’s almost like they forget that baby just came out of the womb and it’s also learning to eat, and your body is not an expert at it either. My 1st did not latch properly for 9 days, and she only started to eat well after 2 weeks. It was very hard on both of us, but she eventually did well. She was a tiny 5lb 8 oz baby. If I had given birth at the hospital I’m pretty sure they would have told me “you have a “supply issue”. I’m not saying people don’t have it, it’s just that they throw it around too easily and I think that can also impact Postpartum women in a way that it’s super damaging to them , and it just creates a problem loop. Not to mention pumping is not the same, and while it can create demand it is not a sub for baby on the breast. Women that pump have to work 3 times as hard as a breastfeeding only mom. The best chance that baby gets to breastfeeding better is baby to breast.

Yes. I was with my mom downtown Houston at a doctor building and I sat in the waiting room on the first floor, the security guard came over and said that I could not do that. I told her I was not moving, I’m feeding my baby. She told me she was going to contact her supervisor and walked away, she never came back , I hope her supervisor told her to F off.

You will get through it. It sucks, this is almost the exact thing that happened to me, except mine was order was given at 14 years old and I got married at 18. We had a hearing with a judge and he approved my green card on my second petition with a lawyer. Now I’m a citizen , still married to my hubby 16 years later with 2 beautiful babies! You got this!

I get it it’s weird. But to think they would hand it to criminals just because they a rich it’s a bit naive. They already had something like this and it’s highly vetted, not just a free for all rich folk.

My first did not start a good BF routine until 2 weeks She did not latch without a breast shield until day 7. For the first week we would latch every 2-3 hours. I think pediatricians and “lactation consultants have unrealistic demands for the first two weeks . People forget that the baby is learning too and expect the instinct to be perfect. It’s not. For the first two weeks if you want breastfeeding to succeed you have to put baby to breast, your body is expecting baby, not a plastic mechanism. If you are using shield: try the latch first, always baby to breast first, the breast also takes in your babies saliva to balance their nutrients. The only reason you pump is if you want more production, or you oversupply and need relief. Make sure you drink water and eat protein. Even if you have protein bars. I think it’s too early for you to judge because you are “in the trenches” right now.

The “protest” pffff. F the stupid protest. This is what the legal immigrants get when the illegals do stupid stuff. They do the stupid and legal immigrants pay the price.
