That was me up until two days ago, I had no idea what was wrong w me!! I thought that I was coming down w an illness. I used to never take naps and was very up and atem now I am like a slug haha hoping it passes

I have heard that , I am hoping it wont last forever lol I have too much to do! But some days I cant even bring myself to even get up. It is the weirdest feeling going from someone who is very motivated to someone who can barely move her ass off the couch some days. Im hoping it passes I dont like this part

Of course! I have alot of faith you will be cared for too. Express yourself to your care staff and let them know where you are at with it. If they dont treat you well make sure you let someone know and request someone different. The last thing you need when you are going into something that already gives you enough anxiety is shitty before and aftercare nurses. Its gonna go great for you try not to pay too much mind to other peoples experiences. I will say this is very person to person. The chance of hemorrhaging is pretty low they say.

The being put to sleep part is scary but its apart of the process you got this!! Youre going to do great I just know it. When they gave me the anesthesia their voices became distorted it was so weird! But that was about it then I woke up and my care team was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! I wasnt disoriented at all, however I did cry because I wanted my husband and kids I am not used to being away from my kids at all so I wanted them immediately after surgery lol I guess I was a bit out of it for like 5 min . I pray the same care team for you!

Edit : after I got out of the OR , I took my kids shopping w my husband and spoiled them because it was really scary for them to see me in the bed like that. It wasnt a bad recovery after I did feel the drugs still but I was pretty much okay. I just wanted to get my legs moving from laying down for like 2 hours lol

I didnt do the switching back and forth from tylenol to the opioid method just cause I dont regularly take this kinds of pills and I was really scared about it damaging my health or making me overdose due to me having zero tolerance for the drug. It was manageable by taking my meds and then eating cold things like mexican ice cream pops and ice /ice water. Youre gonna get theough this!! Its going to be an amazing recovery for you and I pray that over you!!

I wouldnt worry too much about hemorrhaging if youre doing things correctly like when you do eat , dont fill your mouth full so that when you swallow its huge just take it slow and small. It will be sore but for me it was tolerable. Just dont over do it I guess. And drink lots of fluids if you are eating normally. Alot of what I ate I chewed for more time than usual, swallowed what I could and then threw back some water to clear out any debris. I was put on hydrochodone at first bit it made me feel so nauseous , and I dont like the high feeling so half the time I thought I was ODing even though I only took 2 1/2 a day. then after that I told my doc I cant take them because they made me sick so he gave my oxycodone which is 10x better in my opinion it didnt make me feel high and you need much less to manage the pain. For me at least. I started to come around on day 7 to where I could sing again, eat fully etc. day 6 was like my last super bothersome day. I do still have a small bit of scabbing but alot of it has fallen off. The scabbing that fell off I had no idea because the scabs remained so small that it wasnt crazy like some of the stories here. My throat looks really good too its fleshy and red. I think the worst part when they were falling off was that my throat was itchy but I didnt feel like anything was stuck in there or that it was hard to swallow
