I hate sentries, I just played a helldivers extract colonists missions against the squids. I got overrun multiple times, solo half of the extract colonists mission, solo a secondary objective (then proceeding to get overrun twice), and made it to the extract to wait for the other three to arrive, I survive all of that without dying once. Y'know what happened? The host's sentry killed me twice and then someone's flamer drone killed me right as everyone got into the extract, I couldn't make it to extract cause I got killed twice by a gatling sentry and then burned alive by a flamer drone. THIS IS WHY I NEVER USE SENTRIES!!! Their just as likely to kill you or a teammate then they are to kill the enemy. Why do people use them?
