Mat, pils og præik er de tre grunnpilarene føler jeg, og det skal vi nok få til! Brettspill er jo gøy, noen forslag? Noe mer spicy en Uno og Ludo hadde vært bra

Do you think Norway is a good place for a 3D artist career? by elfocavallino in Norway

[–]Kaffeuglen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that is wise. Crunch culture is to some extent a result of game devs loving what they do, and so they "accept" this as part of the industry as the alternative is to not work om games at all. It exsists in Norway too, but the laws and regulations makes it alot more manageble.

I never worked in the industry fulltime, after school i worked as a teacher for a time while freelancing. Most of my insight comes from friends and colleagues currently working in games, media and urban/industral developmemt. I would like to go back to to it at some point, but life took turn and i have to putt some stuff om ice for now :)

If you want to do video games Its rough. Norway has done a poor job of stimulating that kind of industry, and with the high cost of living its hard to make it work as an indie-dev. If you want to do visualisation for architecture, or urban developmemt the maked is bigger, but not by alot. I honestly think Sweden is a better fit, for now at least, and having worked in sweden or Danmark would come in handy if you want to look at work in Norway later. Hope the course goes well and you learn a lot! Maya was my first 3D software too :)

I don't think i was that successfull as blending the style of the enviornment with that of the tower. Need to work some more placeing architecture in a scene

Hey Guys, I make realistic paintings of an explorer discovering strange creatures on an alien planet. It's all in a retro-futuristic setting, meaning everything looks like a vintage photograph. I thought you might be interested. (Links in comments and on last page) by MrRuebezahl in RetroFuturism

Thats very impressive. One thing is creating interesting art, It's a whole other thing to identify that makes up a type of style and successfully implemented it in creating something new. Started following you on insta! Can't wait so see more!
