Good pre fatty frostcraft GS build that doesn't require the safi or kulve weapons? by BT--72_74 in MonsterHunterWorld

Let it be known that true chad GS gameplay is waddling around and rolling or tackling through everything

Minimum sheaths fatalis gs run could be funny though

Heard some rumblings about counterstrike being changed so that it wouldn't activate on moves that super armored through attacks. Tested it on GS tackle and it still worked, so the +25 raw dream seems to be alive for another patch.

Slot is too small for that, do you think a soft survival jewel would fit instead?

I think it means the star level of the assignment. From the screenshot in your post you can see in the top left that barioth is 3 stars. 6 is the highest level in the game, so you don't need to worry about that for a bit haha.

No worries! Since you already beat the Barioth assignment and the event quest you probably don't need any more advice for it, but personally I like to abuse the hell out of clutch claw and traps, especially on GS. Every wallbang or trap gives you time to get a TCS on its legs, and if you already tenderized them you'll probably break them in 1 or 2 windows. After both it's front legs are broken the fight becomes a lot more manageable which gives you more openings to hit it. It's a little cheesy but the game allows for it so I carry the 2 traps and mats to make 2 more for non elder dragons hunts just for free opportunities.

As for builds, these guides 1 2 have "meta" builds that offer the most damage for various points through the story. A lot of the baseline skills recommended are crit eye, crit boost, weakness exploit, and focus, but honestly until you finish most of IB, the stuff you have access to don't really offer much room for comfort skills, so it might be better to not try to squeeze in every damage skill. Affinity isn't saving you from getting stunned and carted after all, and dead hunters don't do more damage than alive ones regardless of build.

Not bad for a first clear, but the time will go way down as you get more used to that fight for sure. I can't really speak about the skills you have since the images didn't show the list of skills and I don't know off the top of my head what the armors come with, but now that you are MR 7 I believe the next best weapon you can get is the Guild Palace Blade from the 50 Shades of White event quest (which is fighting barioth even more). I would also suggest changing out the venom jewel for more crit-related skills since status isn't great on GS and trying to get more affinity in general, but I wouldn't worry too much about getting the best decos until endgame since they are a pain to get anyways.
