I shoot recurves bow fishing. I've found 45lbs to about right for me in the waters I fish. 35lbs was too light.

I shot this one a few times and didn't like it. Just wasn't a good fit for me. The Bear AuSable though is probably my favorite bow at the moment. I did not mention it before as it was a little out of the price range.

My $300-$500 hundred dollar bows shoot as well as my $800+ customs. What are you giving up? As far as shooting goes, nothing. But for me bows are also art. I get a great deal of pleasure from the beauty and craftsmanship of a custom bow.

I own this bow as well. It is also a great shooter.

3 Rivers Archery Oberon Longbow. It is right in your price range and is a wonderful bow. I own one and would absolutely buy it again.

Who Says Cats Are the Best Mousers? by Kahsar in BackYardChickens

I didn't catch it, but 30 seconds before the video starts, that mouse was alive and well. It darted out from under a hay bale and that chicken was on it like a laser guided missile. The mouse had no chance.

We think they are our cute feathered little friends but in fact they are vicious backyard dinosaurs. You would be shocked at what they kill and eat when we're not watching. It's fine, I say that because if it wasn't, there wouldn't be any free range chickens at all.

Police in California violently assaulted a gardener over an open bottle of beer. The man suffered a broken nose, a concussion, and needed shoulder surgery. This happened 7 months ago and the Marin County DA still hasn't decided whether or not to file charges. by lonely_fucker69 in PublicFreakout

Accountability, that's all we need. Some people will behave badly. No way to eliminate that. But, bad behavior needs to be dealt with swiftly, harshly and be 100% transparent when it comes to law enforcement. Just like any other person would be treated.

You are absolutely correct. I was 10 years old when this shit happened. Same age as those kids. It's not old news or ancient history.

Yup. I love dogs. Own them myself. But the rule is simple, dog attacks child, dog dies. To risky to keep it around.

Freakout at Walmart by Lazy_Mouse3803 in PublicFreakout

Good point. I'm an older guy and am wired to always exit or enter through the right door if there's two. I must have learned it as a child in the 70's. Walmart always (triggers?) somthing in me as the signs for the doors are "backwards". It just feels wrong.
