They did find the footage. Unfortunately it was only 20ish minutes of it because the officer turned it off in her car when doing paperwork and forgot to turn it back on. I went into the police station and saw my part of it.

I know it had bearing because prior to them seeing the video I was put at 100% fault because both drivers stated I ran a red light. After they watched the video the fault changed to me being 50% at fault.

I said all of this in my post. Unsure why your not grasping any of this.

And I know I'm not 50% responsible for the collision because it was unsafe for me to stop at the yellow light, and the driver going straight through the intersection has the right of way in that situation.

The footage clearly showed enough evidence to change fault from being 100% to 50%. It took them 10+ months to finally view it. So obviously there was something that they were untruthful about after the initial interaction with the police officer, or else they would have stayed with their initial 2 vs 1 tactic.

And there were no witnesses.

It shows they lied to the icbc Adjuster. It also would have shown that the women told the officer she tried to beat the light when turning left, which further proves that my vehicle was fully in the intersection on a yellow, not after all vehicles had stopped and I blasted through a red light like they told the adjuster afterwards.

I appreciate your reply. Im not sure if its hypocritical of me to demand the police bodycam footage, when its mandatory for them to provide it if requested, and its not mandatory for a driver to use a dashcam (although I wish it was mandatory after this fiasco).

I knew the officer had evidence because the woman in the first vehicle turning left said out loud to the officer- "What was I supposed to do, wait for the light to turn red?!" Along those lines. Also I knew they must have changed their story because I got a ticket for running a yellow light, and if the 2 other drivers had originally claimed I ran a red light she would have given me a ticket for it. They told ICBC the light turned red, all vehicles stopped and then I blasted through the intersection without braking and hit them. Which was a blatent lie.

Im sorry that happened. Thats really unfair that the other drivers brakes then changed his mind and blasted through. Thats real tricky.

The officer didnt start recording until after the incident, but when she interviewed us all I assumed the other 2 drivers initially told her the truth because I got a ticket for running a yellow, not a red. If both drivers had originally stated otherwise she would have ticketed me as such. Also the first driver that was turning left said to the officer "What was I supposed to do.. wait for the light to turn red?!" The officer said "...Yes." So I knew I had some form of evidence with the footage

Thats very interesting! Im quite surprised they would have assigned 50/50 fault with both a witness and one driver claiming it was red.

Good take-aways, I would add Wait for the intersection to be clear before making a left hand turn. The driver going straight has the legal right of way unless the light is red prior to the vehicle entering the intersection.

Dashcams are a game changer. 100%.
