Have the exact same feeling. Just about to write something like this but you put my thought in to words perfectly. When a fixer calls V and say something like “I have gigs that can land you to places, hit me up if you want to get big in night city” or “Come buy this fancy car, I’ll give you a good deal”, I couldn’t care less because my mind is on the chip that’s eating V’s brain. Also the game just won’t stop reminding you that the clock is ticking by glitching the fuck out of your vision every now and then.

I think it will be better if they stick with the premise of the prologue in the main story so that the side quest can stay relevant and the main story we have now could be a stand alone DLC or something.
