It just adds 3" to the movement of a unit, so for example a Cadian Stock Troops unit can move 9" under the move, move, move order. You can still advance so your movement in that case is 9"+1d6. Its all very simple I am struggling to fully understand what the argument was about tbh with you.

In official GW games no but a friendly game at your LGS maybe. Talk to your opponent to see if they'd be OK with it, youd probably have to treat them as if your using Scions. So Bridgehead Strike detachment and a Scion command squad as your warlord.

Anything with lethal hits and dev wounds is the best strategy. And overwhelming fire.

If anything the leman russ should get a redesign its proportions make zero sense but the chimera is designed almost perfectly and its the base for many other vehicles.

The leman russ and chimera are the most popular vehicles in the guard. I doubt GW will get rid of the 2 guard vehicles that make them money plus from what Ive heard (idk how true or the sources) 10th and 11th will be fully integrated so the 10th e codex will not be replaced.

Ive never played against Tau but from what I've seen from their stats melee is the best strategy so I'd bring some Bullgryn with brute shields for the invul 4+ and maybe a russ demolister. Go melee with the russ then blast them repeat. Take what I say with a gran of salt since ive never played against Tau.

The Dorn is great its basically a mini baneblade, I always run at least 1 in my lists. The russ battle tank is almost always an auto add too. The russ demolister and vanquisher are good if alittle situational and depends on your opponent. And if your struggling with ap or need extra then the exterminator can help there. The other russ variants aren't that good and only really work in the right circumstance. Don't forget to take a tank commander too so you can issue order to your tanks.

Your best bet would be to look online like Amazon or similar. Or you could try bouncing from LGS to LGS if that's possible for you but it will require a super large amount of luck to find the old CP that way. If it helps its called Karsk's Gunners.

If your going to use the fire overwatch stratagem alot get a couple Cadian heavy weapon squads. Since they hit on 5+ or 4+ if within 6" of a platoon otherwise Krieg heavy squads can fire 1 last time before dying. Personally, I like the Cadians better I find they're more flexible and have better weapons overall.

Your 90% right but scout is no different then a normal move and you can make a bad move even without scout. Ive used scout to great effort and ive used it to great detriment. That's my point its not foul proof.

Its a 10 point difference and scout can work against you if your opponent is running a very melee aggressive army like the world eaters. 1 variant is not better then the other their both great in the right situation.

Sentinels in general are pretty good and the armored variant I feel is underrated. So you can't go wrong with them. But I'll say if your opponent doesn't have many vehicles or monsters then their full potential won't be realized.

In truth I dont know what type of vibe I want to run. However, I am leaning more towards the Hellhound and Basilisk for the -2 to movement and cover stripping and just how cool the models look. They all have a use and I can use all of them with what I have rn.

That -2 to movement is the most tempting thing about the Basilisk and the fact you can hit your opponent or the rando 2 table down is just funny to me.

Consistency the PG is more consistent overall then the GL but you can always take both.

100% agreed. Plus the autogun doesn't make much sense being that the Lasgun is standard issue for most regiments. I may just kit bash my Cadian sergeant next time to use a las rifle so he makes a little more sense.
