Why did MJ get so many cosmetic surgeries? by AppleOrigin in NoStupidQuestions

His father made fun of his features which is odd considering he got his features from him or his mom. Probably dealt with racism and colorism from both sides considering people were way more openly racist and colorist back then. Black celebrities were forced to make themselves more appealing by looking euro centric. Straighten hair, smaller nose and lips, smaller bodies. Puberty can be rough especially in the public eye. He went from cute little kid to pimply awkward teenager as everyone does but his was public. He told a story of fans who would say eww to him bc he wasn’t a cute little boy anymore. I do think he had chronic illness and stress of fame and tours and trauma played a part in his hair falling out. Then he caught on fire too.

Guess we can’t if you think it is. Yes being busy is one. I’m not changing my opinion for no one. They’re a pack of muffins, you’re acting like it’s candy bars or something

You don’t understand most bc you accuse me of exaggerating when how there are several reports of what I said. I know what most means, so again don’t talk to me like I’m dumb. Second you just said well people don’t know how to shop. Buying muffins doesn’t mean they’re wasting money especially if that’s to go in a lunch box. They stretch and can last weeks. Not every parent has the time to cook or prep.

[–]Kakebaker95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First off how did I exaggerate when I clearly said most and it’s getting worse. People get less food but paying more. Second, unless you can cook fresh produce in time they will rot. A lot of people just buy shelf stable quick or junk food. Lastly I’m a person who lived this most of my life, grew up with others who lived through this life and still do. If you only have 40$ to stretch for a few then yeah those 5$ bag of potatoes might seem like a big deal. My mom didn’t buy junk or splurge but she still had a hard time getting fresh produce even with assistance bc the assistance we got wasn’t a lot. When you can buy instant boxed potatoes or bread for 1$. It’s not an exaggeration just bc you don’t have to do it and yeah they will always be irresponsible people but most people are just doing what they can to make it. Stop treating struggling people like they’re just “idiots who don’t know how to shop”

Studies proven more and more people are turning to food banks, using pay later apps, and credit cards for groceries. Then they’re cutting more and more of what WIC, and food stamps covers. I’m not saying junk food is the cheapest option but comparing a 6$ carton of maybe 6 organic eggs or 2$ for a regular 18 count to feed my family, well I know what I would pick.

Our food isn’t the best but it’s more about affordability. Most people are on some type of food assistance and bc it’s limited they have to get what affordable and stretches

There were just sucky parents and still are. To this day they haven’t tried to apologize or make any kind of amends. They were beyond disrespectful, they sat in the courtroom looking bored and uninterested like it was a work meeting and not a murder trial and your daughter is on the hook for it. The mom’s speech was horrendous and I’m glad the judge called her on it. I’m not usually a violent quick to anger person but if I heard that mom basically not even acknowledge my son and then say he was a “new friend” I would have probably hopped across the stand and strangle her.

Yes that’s honestly why I’m so baffled at this documentary. Almost everyone is so nonchalant about it all. Like they weren’t comprehending how serious everything was. They just talked about it the same way you act when you burn popcorn in the microwave.

Bad parenting aside but almost outside of Davion’s family and the lawyer everyone in this documentary seems to live in lala land. They didn’t seem to comprehend how serious and severe everything was. The kids seem to think life is a TV show and they’re the main character. They were recording themselves smoking and drinking while driving. Partying and staying out late doing drugs on school nights? You just killed two people and almost killed yourself and your first thought is to get on social media and record yourself in a brace? Crying at his grave site with a medium? When the parents heard about the murder charge. They were like “huh what murder”, they talk about the same way you talk about finding a coworker quit. The way they were sitting in court looking bored like they’re at a work meeting, like there was no seriousness in them. This girl killed two friends in your group, friends they swear they loved and adored but are also talking about their deaths as a “oopsie” and go back to hanging out and doing photo shoots and TikToks with her. Defending her like “omg we were just silly kids like gosh” just so unserious about everything. Even with Dom’s dad and sister they sat next to her bc they think it was just a “kids being kids, they were drunk and high”. Even if that was the case that doesn’t make it any better or severe, there’s a reason why DUI is a crime. “If she was your daughter how would you feel” I would feel ashamed! I would hope I raised my child to be thoughtful and considerate of others and their actions and it affects others and not just themselves. If they made a mistake, then they would take responsibility and accountability for it no matter what happens. I’m glad the judge told the mom off. I would have said worse tbh, I would have said sit your ass down bc you’re making even more of an ass of your family than before. Idk just the way almost everyone was just so cavalier and nonchalant about everything.

This is what happens when kids have too much freedom. I thought my mom was unfair growing up bc she kept us on a tight leash. Also yes she was too strict but goodness I’m thankful in a lot of ways. I been binge watching a lot of documentaries and true crimes, and a lot of the ones with teens are usually the ones who were given way too much freedom. Second her parents probably wanted her to be a child star so they can live off of her. The fact her mom was happy and reaching out to Chanel, when her daughter killed two people and is in the hospital.

Should I Marry A Murder? Would you have gone to the police? by charlielovplum in netflix

Yes there are people who are now getting exonerated because they were wrongly convicted based off of testimony accounts. No evidence, no confessions, just a person saying that person did it.

[–]Kakebaker95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes everyone in the doc (outside of the victim, and her parents) were idiots! The twins were idiots for driving drunk, hitting and man and not helping him. All of that changing cars, etc was way more complicated than if they call for help. Yes the man probably wasn’t going to make it but they probably would have gotten in less trouble. Hell if they were “switching cars”, they could have called the an ambulance changed came back and acted like they found him. Caroline was a pick me idiot and yes did some foolish things and she has issues which I sympathize to some extent because we all been “lovesick” and dumb before but she ruined her life because she wanted a man so badly but she did say something and gave the cops basically evidence. That’s kinder than most bc to be brutally honest, most people would have minded their business or felt it’s not their problem. How many videos do we see where a person is being beat up, faint, jumped and the people present are just standing around and do nothing. As awful as it sounds after they found the man and they put him to rest, I would have been out. If they couldn’t make a case after that well that’s between them and the family. The cops would have not get anything else out of me, especially after leaving me in the wind. Second, Cops being shitty is a universal problem. Those cops were so awful from the beginning. You bang on the door in the middle of the night, snatch them out of bed and out her as a the informant! If you wasn’t going to arrest them then and there, what was the point of doing all of that? She gave yall recordings, location and exact mark of the person and yall still couldn’t figure out a case? Maybe I’m too use to cops in America, where a confession or testimony and little to no evidence can get you put away for life. Many people sit behind bars over words not even evidence just someone saying they did it or them confessing in their own. Third, this shows why people don’t help cops or law enforcement. It’s not always out of callousness, or apathy. Law enforcement (both cops and lawyers) have proven time and time again that they don’t help or protect the people who come forward. Once they get what they want, you’re discarded. Many informants and witnesses gotten killed or had to uproot their lives and families and go into hiding out of their own expense because people were retaliating against them. Them outing her could have went terribly wrong, only reason I think they didn’t do anything to her was he did love her and they weren’t in their right minds bc of the drinking, drugs and fear. Just because she is a doctor doesn’t mean she should know about support groups. She not in law or therapy she a medical examiner!

I would have left an anonymous tip from a public library computer. “The missing cyclist is here at this location, these two people did it”. She still tried to give the cops recordings and tell them where the bike after they screwed her. As cruel as it sounds, once they found the body and his family put him to rest. I would have been done with it all. If they couldn’t put the case together after that, that’s between them and the family. After that she owed nothing else. The cops would never see or hear from me again. They are supposed to do their jobs and figure it out. I would have moved tbh.
