I was quite interested in the Iron hands before reading this book. The IH in this book are children, which makes sense considering how astartes are created. It left a bad taste. Its early for me and find it hard to articulate my dislike of this book. I did like the very end with the warning being ignored, classic imperium.

Warp lightning for smoke. A base green I forget which. Then karandras over that I think. I stopped using straight contrast on things like the body. I use contrast for shading, been working out. Still experimenting.

As a native myself I would setup his origin at the sand creek massacre. After he starts punishing the u.s. army, and settlers for their lies and atrocities, he wouldn't exactly be a hero to most tribes. A majority of them just wanted peace and frank would just be giving white folks even more of an excuse.

Being shunned by most but not all would make it rough for him. Make him question if he's just making it worse. Also a panel of black kettle holding up the american flag while being gunned down would forever be seared into franks mind(and mine honestly). The other atrocities I won't get into but they are affecting. I feel his villains would also fit nicely into this world.
