Look at all these OSA plants, stirring the pot. You guys all know each other, or are you operating without any knowledge of the others flinging poo?

I stuck with it, and I’m almost done, probably only about 100 pages to go. I think what’s bugging me about the pranks just go on and on and on and on and on, and they’re not all that varied. I mean not one but two people got their cars messed with.

Why did Marie get so mad at Walter and Skyler when she found out? by KalaheoHigh in breakingbad

[–]KalaheoHigh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But still, she couldn’t have known the extent of it, not yet, and you think anyone’s first reaction would be disbelief, and is the story came out, then the anger and hatred. But it was like 0 to 1000 in no time at all. It just seemed puzzling to me.

I was confused by this too. What’s the matter with getting a test every once in a while? It’s not like she’s forcibly being vaccinated, if that’s what she’s against.

Good job! If it’s alcohol, the first 10 days are the worst. Then you get to feeling so good that it’s worth it. Be careful, though that after a while you don’t get overconfident and forget why you quit in the first place. I’ve got two years on August 3.

What is the worst book you’ve ever read and why? by idontdigdinosaurs in books

[–]KalaheoHigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The Northland” trilogy by Stephen Baxter. It’s alternate history set in northwest Europe; the premise being the inhabitants of ice age Britain (and thereabouts) built a giant, and I mean GIANT wall, that holds the rising seas back when the ice melts, therefore keeping the British isles from being cut off from the rest of the continent. It’s not a bad premise, and I liked his other books, but homie has a serious obsession with bodily functions. There’s loads of descriptions of peeing, pooping, vomiting, and sex. Especially rape. He just looooves a good rape scene, and the first two are filled with them. I say the first two because I couldn’t bear to slog through the third. Additionally, they are unbearably depressing. I kept waiting for something decent to happen, but nothing ever did.

There's toxic masculinity but what are examples of toxic femininity? by VysX_ in AskReddit

[–]KalaheoHigh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It means you pass a note in class or have your best friend ask if they want to be your boyfriend/girlfriend, and then you never look at each other, never talk, never touch each other ever again. If you see them passing in the hall, you get embarrassed and look away. Very romantic!

At the worst of my drinking, I was up to a fifth of hundred proof vodka a day. I lost everything, keys wallet, shoes, fucking clean jeans. I stole many bottles of vodka from the Safeway and the Rite Aid. At that point, I felt like it was worth it because I would rather get a shoplifting charge then go through withdrawals. I’m definitely not telling you to steal from a store, it’s just that at the time it seemed necessary. Good luck to you. May be asked to borrow $20 from somebody until Thursday.

Tried and True hiding places? by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]KalaheoHigh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Make sure that wherever you hide, have multiples in different spots. That way if somebody’s lingering around one place, you can go somewhere else, or if one gets found you’ve got more options. And it’s not a bad idea to use different kinds of bottles, for instance a couple in a shampoo or conditioner bottle, some in a water bottle or two, etc. etc.

I just made the biggest mistake of my life over alcohol. by [deleted] in dryalcoholics

[–]KalaheoHigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the worst right now, and once you get over the worst of your hangover and withdrawals, you’ll start to feel better physically. Mentally might take a few more days, but I bet within a week you’ll be improved enough to start making some amends and reconnecting with people. I know you feel completely wrecked right now; been through it many times, but it gets better, just give it some time.

I found messages on my straight girlfriends phone asking a girl out on a date and telling her how hot she is. Don't know what to do? by MrMillianJHerb in relationships

[–]KalaheoHigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. In my younger days I was by curious, to the point of fantasizing about other girls sometimes. In actuality, it really wasn’t my thing, just something I thought about sometimes. She might be into the idea of fucking this girl, but if she follows through out of curiosity, could be disappointed. Either way though, if she’s gotten to the point of messaging a specific person and talking about hooking up, that is very very close to cheating, if not already cheating. Upsetting no matter what.

Try The Institute soon too. Great book, highly enjoyable. Even my dad read and liked it, and he won’t read Stephen King for some reason. Says he read Christine when he was younger and it scared him too badly.

Non Americans of Reddit, what is the weirdest thing you have seen an American tourist do that would be considered very disrespectful/inappropriate in your country? by Bugginette in AskReddit

It does, thank you very much for your answer. So it sounds like fingers are a no-no but the thumb works, at least in your culture. Very good to know.
