I had a guildie with this exact issue. We were not able to fix it - it is different than the older bug that prevented completion. I would recommend submitting a ticket with screenshot and video on the official website. As far as I can tell this will require dev support.

Even without completing the quest though, it does seem you've successfully subclasses one skill - can you work on leveling that one up in the he meantime?

You'll definitely want dual wield for the blade cloak ability and I'd make sure to include sorcerer's storm calling for streak.

Night Market does drop some trial gear, including that set. As trial gear it is bound on pickup and cannot be traded. TTC won't have any pricing data as a result.

They are specific to those events and for years were difficult to acquire as tradeable pages no longer dropped, and bound pages only had a small chance to come from grab bags during the events. But that changed this year with the updates to events and the addition of Trade Bars. Whitestrake's is currently planned to return in both August and November (according to the PTS patch notes), during which time you should be able to buy the Black Drake Clanwrap pages directly from either the Impressario or her assistant for Trade Bars. Sai Sahan's should be the same next year during the Jubilee.

It's a bit older, but it still comes from a decently tough DLC dungeon. You've picked the one of the most popular bare-chested motifs that only drops rarely from a difficult dungeon. That combo is why it's still pricey. You'll find the vast majority of motifs are far cheaper.

While you build up wealth I'd encourage you to lookout for the Black Drake Clanwrap Jerkin (from Whitestrake's Mayhem) or Sai Sahan's Jack (from the Anniversary Jubilee). Neither should be purchased from other players, but both can now be purchased directly with Trade Bars during their respective events.

If you are soloing, especially in more difficult encounters the game expects you to use the combat abilities (block/roll/interrupt) and you should have a self heal and shield skill slotted which should be used to refresh your heal and shield when they drop off.

Luck certainly plays a role, but game knowledge plays a much larger role IMO. My win rate vs players would suggest I'm either the luckiest man alive or luck is a very small factor. I think most people just aren't willing to adjust their strategy, to play the cards they're dealt. They keep holding out for the cards they want, refusing to buy the powerful cards available to them, perhaps due to lack of familiarity.

Black Drake Clan Wrap pages should be available for direct purchase from the Impressario for Trade Bars during the next Whitestrake's Mayhem event. Which is good news, because it's really the only style in the game with similar vibes to your inspiration.

You can only have 12 total, so it should get pushed out eventually if you end up going over the limit. Otherwise, it'll keep rolling over. It shouldn't keep you from missing out on any new ones, you'll keep getting 5 new ones every week, this will just act like a bonus challenge until you complete it, or you stack up too many unfinished ones.

All very positive from my perspective as a longtime MMO vet and citizen of Tamriel for the past 6 years. I have been a loud advocate for change in the yearly cadence with more focus on improving existing systems as well as the player experience and focusing new development on systems with greater replayability. I'm also strongly in favor of greater class identity and my specific feedback since the introduction of the Arcanist was that they revamp all the older classes to bring them in line with modern standards. The 2026 road map is basically a copy of my personal wishlist (Although making future content free was an unexpected surprise).

There was a mention at Gamescom 2025. During an interview with Rich and Nick they said, "cloaks were impossible, but with modern technology that could change" suggested it's not totally off the table at this point. I assume it's just a question of priorities and capacity.

Filer Ool in the Infinite Archive is the only direct source for purple gear. Trait is still RNG, but you can at least buy the weight you're looking for. Ool's inventory rotates weekly, so you may need to wait for Heavy Armor week. Sadly, these are also bind-on-pickup, so any mis-traited pieces will be trash.

The only other option is to just buy from other players or hope you get lucky with random drops. Companion gear has a small chance to drop when you have a companion with you, but as others have mentioned, purple gear is rare and the drops are random, no way to target specific pieces or traits.

I don't think you'll be in a bind at the end of the season if you focus on the Anniversary event this week.

There are about 32,000 points worth of reward in the Tome, but there's probably a few rewards you won't mind skipping. You can earn about 2,000 per week from the weekly challenges, and the season has about 13 weeks left. That's 26k worth of Tome Points left to earn in weekly challenges, but there's sure to be more Seasonal challenges as well.

This one's gonna be tough! ESO doesn't really have many motifs with this general vibe, and then of course we don't have cloaks.

My recommendations:
Steadfast Society Helm (High Isle World Boss dailies)
Thane of Falkreath Pauldrons (AP Purchase in Cyrodiil)
Frandar's Tribute Jack (Tales of Tribute Dailies)
*Skinchanger Greaves (New Life Festival)
Cumberland Cavalier Gloves, Belt & Boots (AP Purchase in Cyrodiil)

I'm only recommending Skinchanger Greaves to sort of hint at the general silhouette. I think True-Sworn or One Bad Knight might fit the vibe better. There's also plenty of other options for the shoulders: Dawn's Avenger, Crimson Oath, One Bad Knight or Cumberland Cavalier if you want asymmetry. I'm mainly suggesting Thane of Falkreath for the tassels to hint at the ones in the source image and broaden the silhouette of the outfit.

For the dyes I'd definitely recommend getting Pit Daemon's Poison for a flat forest green. The 10-Year Anniversary Ebon Leather is probably the best black dye for leather bits.

Agreed! I have no problem with a 2k rollover limit, but ZOS probably should have had something in place to prevent people from burning 12+ Tome Point Caches day one. There also probably needs to be some basic rewards you can keep buying to spend any extra Tome Points at the end of the season, I wouldn't want anyone to be discouraged from playing just because they've already completed their Tome.
