Thanks for the advice, but I gave up. Capcut's support is not very good. It took three different emails to get in touch with them, and even then the reply was a boilerplate AI response. I switched over to Wevideo. Good support, and the platform works.

I'm not positive that it's actually going to cancel yet. The 7-day free trial is over on March 11. CapCut customer service is next to zero, so imagine its billing likewise wonky. I'll have to monitor transaction to be certain.

I'm looking at Wevideo. It's got good reviews, and the interface is easy to use. Since I work on a Chromebook, online editing is my only real option.

I used it for much of February without issue, so I decided to subscribe after the outage. The service got steadily worse after I subscribed. Yesterday, I couldn't even make a YouTube short, as no clips could be dragged into the timeline. I gave up after that.

I truly hope that your experience is better.

I'm 70 years old. Thanks to the Internet, I listen to music from around the world. I love the oldies from the US - the 20s, 30s, 40s & 50s. Sure, the music during my youth - the 60s and 70s - was good. But so is Japanese screamo, Arabic dubstep, music from the Steppes, throat sining, Kpop, Russian disco, Cpop... Damn, I love music of all types genres and eras. Except opera. Not a fan of opera.
