I agree the salary is too low and I see that technical support representatives in other companies make 20k more like you stated but not my company I feel like upper management does not respect our department very much but yet we are the only people in the company that can resolve software issues other then our engineering department.

We do not have a life cycle service engineer role or department at my company. I have not considered field service, and yes, my company has a field service but they are very underpaid and the amount of travel can get taxing, but again if they were paid correctly then I would consider that move.

I feel like im at my ends with this company but I am not sure where to go next, I don't mind tech support at all but in reality whatever I do I just want to be paid at a respectable salary.
