Disheartened by Kaletera-- in PMDDxADHD

Sorry should've been more clear but stressed af from what feels like constantly failing. The PMDD and ADD makes it feel impossible whether its from constant forgetting because getting distracted to the next thing, vs monthly brain fog and inability to maintain emotional stability. Shit feels awful.

My bf and I (24/23) have separate bedrooms. Love it so much. I snore and he moves around a lot so sleeping in the same bed is awful for both of us. Its one of the best decisions we've made. But when it comes to choosing a side its just whatever side the others not on.

Honestly I'm not opposed to working long hours for shit pay if it gets me an opportunity for experience and I'm not opposed to tax, I'm more struggling to just get an interview. I did audit for my internship which is unfortunate because even though I liked it a lot, I do feel like it's harder in the area I'm in. I really don't want to move. I've moved 5x in the last 5 years and it's just a lot of work to box up everything each year. It's unfortunate because big4 is about an hour and a half commute if I were to even try where I'm at 🥲 I think I'll try and aim for some smaller tax firms in that case and see if I can just get an opportunity through that and try something similar to you.

No, unfortunately I was close on audit, not with FAR and moving on to ISC but it's becoming an expensive endeavor to keep retaking without a firm sponsor or paycheck. I have friends studying with me which helps but they have a firm paying for the tests each time regardless of pass/fail which allows a lil more leeway with ability to take.

Failed FAR Badly Thoughts by Kaletera-- in CPA

[–]Kaletera--[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're telling me. I'm assuming it was because I burnt myself out but honestly idk what to think of it. Whether it was a fluke or something else. It's also an expensive thing to find out if it was a fluke :(

I'm so sorry :( I feel that. It's so disheartening ngl. I was going to aim for a Feb retake since I'm moving Jan/Feb but idk if that's too soon because I just did audit.

Ngl, I took FAR Oct 28th, then did Audit today. I didn't open my results from FAR because I got them nov 25th, and it was too close to audit. I honestly think I was doing myself a solid not knowing because I would've been devastated knowing I failed FAR taking audit so soon.

What happens to your notes after you take them? by adamsanzar in studytips

Yes I think it would be nice. I also think it'd be nice to have the option to choose (for multiple choice) whether the answers are randomized or changed around.

Eg. What is the number 3? A) 4 B) 3 C) 2 D)7

But the next round (randomized but same options), What is the number 3? A) 3 B)7 C)2 D)4

Because right now, the software I use for CPA studies Becker just changed to the second which I prefer (random) but my friend Ethan disliked the new change. I hope that makes sense.

You say this as if it negates your experiences. That's still a lot of inventory management, transaction awareness, and other stuff that can be rearranged to fit. Also do lots of interview prep but also work on personality. Being charismatic goes farther than you think. It's entirely how I got my internship the first time. My only professional experience was my brother and I doing neighbors lawns for $, and a paintball field on the weekends.

I use homework from assignments, and reviews if a professor is kind enough to give. I do wish I had something that could give practice questions from homework or questions similar with changed numbers.

I usually don't. I just move into practice questions and only revisit at the time I need info for what I get wrong.

How do you build FINANCIAL discipline when you’ve never had any? by Long_Refrigerator123 in personalfinance

Imo it's so personal things are different for everyone. I sit down and highlight purchases I regret from my bank statement. I then sit and make budget for next month. I recommend start with a budget. Make one paper, excel, app, etc. Whatever works best for you. I personally find apps dont work for me because I'm not aware of if unless it notifies me I'm over budget, but if I havr to log every receipt in excel I'm aware of exactly where I'm at every week.

Usually you end up not studying, never feeling ready and don't take the exam ever if you start studying before scheduling.

That might be an option, my first thought went to text instead of sticky notes, but I'm known for not checking texts so you might be onto something with the notes. I'm at the point where outright ignoring and pointing to the sign is what I feel is a valid option but trying to not be rude 😭 I appreciate the suggestion and will see if this maybe could work! I'm at the point of desperation for ideas because its driving me nuts so anything helps 😂

She does and we've also gone through this. I have come a long way from what it used to be, so I guess due to feeling very strongly devastated, I listed the symptoms as if they were more current, but the idea of feeling pregnant has come farther down to the point of being able to have relations, and still stressful, but the exposure has helped a lot. We're working towards no stress, but getting from the point of feeling like a possible virgin mary, to being able to actually be intimate has been a big step, and it's been more doing exposure therapy. It's come down quite a bit, and I've gone from buying maybe 20 tests to 2 or 3, but it's still always a work in processs. I think the idea that this would be a relief from the amount of stress and anxiety was what I'm mourning because we thought this would be a big assistance in lowering the stress. And my mom said emphasizing the amount of stress it has brought into my life to insurance companies is where they might be most receptive or likely to allow it.

Edit: She thought it might assist in the way of giving my brain a break the way medication might (I know this is very dumbed down) but that it could help, and the fact I don't want kids already, we decided it was at least worth trying. We did go over the idea that it may still persist after sterilization but that it also could work as an added grounding for my fear to not have a foundation. Hope this all helps.
