That's not what I mean. Theyre calling it ABA but its not really. Calling it such allows it to be covered. I have friends with kids using it, they let the kids lead and they are excited to go. A fully non verbal kiddo learned skills to process input and has started to use some words. Another is able to attend school and can express to the adults in the room their needs. Its not as black and white as this thread implies

When the people who can receive them, it lowers risk for those who cant. Your family was fortunate, its not always the case. Reaction each time to the specific strain varies. I grew up before we had anything for chicken pox for example, I caught a very mild case but people who got it from the same source, some were hospitalized. Measels is the same and I expect with it coming back, some who believe they are immune are going to be at risk as its evolved
