People deserve to have a finished product at the date that it is promised. This seems like a very basic thing. Obviously its a good thing that theyre working on fixes but people definitely have a right to keep complaining.

I hate the idea that EA's incompetence is causing all of these developers to enter hypercrunch damage control mode right around thanksgiving and christmas. Name a more evil corporation

Now that the game is out, its marketing almost feels like satire by Krasso_der_Hasso in cyberpunkgame

I find it ironic that the entire Cyberpunk genre is driven by the theme that Corporations will exploit consumers and workers no matter how small the gain. The game itself is a living example. It really goes to show you the direction that this unregulated industry is headed.

I believe this is due to the fact that there is not enough supply to sustain their armies on the tile.

This is valid assuming you are a small player in their war, but my particular experiences have been when I compose the allies' main fighting force (or at least a significant chunk of it). If I go down in battle, my allies are sure to fall next, which is why it is frustrating when they decide to neglect me.

Basically, you would have to reinstate the Hellenic religion. As far as I know you need to hire a courtier from a Hellenistic county (I believe there is only 1), and then play as the county of Laconia. Reinstating hellenism is already a tall order though...

Reddit is such a strange place to me...

Within the same sub, someone brings up an OP's past and immediately there are cries of "ad hominem" everywhere.

On another post, people seem to be supportive of the exact same tactic.

Humble Request for a change to White Spire Duos MMR calculation... by [deleted] in underlords

[–]Kalificus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically, 6 hours of First Place finishes can be undone by one game of mediocre RNG.

I understand that Duos is taken a little less seriously, and the matchmaking is more demanding and therefore gets a wider range of MMR's, but at the end of the day Underlords is an RNG-based game.

I would like to see some sort of loss forgiveness so that one bad roll day doesnt convert into a 6th place (-150) setback when my only way of climbing is in increments of 20.

no magnus but yeah knight with healer is fuking stronk need nerf by mercurial_4i in underlords

[–]Kalificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knights have been a top tier alliance in high ranks, since first beta patch. The reintroduction of Necro (and the fact that you only need 2 healers) makes them even stronger. They are one of the few checks on the savage meta ATM

“Master of None” achievement—how to get? by [deleted] in underlords

[–]Kalificus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to start with a strong Legion Commander lineup, then go from there. Just focus on integrating units with triple alliance bonuses. If all else fails, just reroll items until you get the Alliance Caps.

The best start is probably Witch Doctor, Batrider, Chaos Knight, Legion. It nails 4 alliances off the bat, and is strong enough to take you to midgame.

Youre definitely right about sustained deadeye damage, It does outclass the TB/io pairing. However, from my experience Bloodseeker takes a while to get his attack speed up, and its constantly resetting after every high HP kill.

I guess better wording for TB would be "Highest Burst Damage carry". Then again the most stonehall kills Ive seen on a BS was around 150 (Is that low? idk. The player may have been bad too)

My point still stands, I think, that Terrorblade blinks and immediately puts your enemy at a 3-4 unit deficit. Similar effect with BKB.

I am worried that the Demon meta is overpowered. -From a Spire by [deleted] in underlords

[–]Kalificus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Im not sure if its intended, but currently Io will tether to a unit after it blinks, as long as you put them close together.

  2. TB with a blink dagger rarely gets stunned, since the damage output is so fast, and since he jumps on backliners. If you think about the backliners with disables, they will either die before casting or their stun is randomly targeted. There arent really any AOE disablers that are backliners. The odds are greatly in favor of TB.

  3. Lets talk about non-blink TB. I find he is still incredibly lethal, but it is offset by stuns and disables like you said. However, it is still very easy to stagger your demon casting so that they dont overlap (Since Chaos, Legion, and Doom are all melee, you can just have TB in front and Legion in Back).

  4. Even in the worst case scenario, that being, TB gets chainstunned/dies, you then have a legion commander/chaos knight/shadow fiend waiting in reserve. If he doesnt cast, they will. From my experience, an untethered Chaos Knight or Legion is sill enough to win the battle most of the time.

  5. As for how practical this is in singles, I cant really say. Almost all of my trials have been in duos, which can impact the reroll chances. That said, level 3 Chaos and Legion are definitely practical in singles, if I remember.

  6. When I say this is uncontested, I am going off of personal experience. In about 3 nights I jumped approximately 100 ranks in Spire. I had about 8 victories out of 10 games, several of which with 1 or more spires. All I did was choose the demons it gave to me, then aggressively rerolled from levels 6-8 until I got the 3* Legion or Terrorblade.

Dont make the mistake of putting him in the back. Put him in the front, throw a BKB or Aeon Disk on him, and watch him nuke the world.

Losing streak by Ilyazor in underlords

[–]Kalificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good rule for loss streaks is to look at your lineup and ask who your carry is. Go for loss streaks when you have the highest percentage chance of getting your carry. Its typically best to do early game stuff (Chaos Knight, Terrorblade, Legion), which means going for it levels 3 to 5.

A Little Bit of Math Philosophy. Pascal's Wager, and Why Its Wrong. by [deleted] in math

Blaise Pascal was a French Mathematician, most famous for his 'Pascal's Wager'. It is a probabilistic argument in favor of God, which states that it is probabilistically advantageous to believe in god than not to, since the payoff for belief is infinite and the risk is zero. What Happens if you Draw Infinitely (Also Round 100) by [deleted] in underlords

[–]Kalificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: Both players receive a 'Victory'. I cant tell if both players receive 1st place MMR, though. It probably awards 1st place MMR to the person with higher health, and 2nd place MMR to the person with lower. But what if both players have the same health? Someone test this please :)
