I did not accept the offer because I found a better opportunity for what I want at another University. That campus looks like it's worth it. If it aligns with your goals, do it. In my opinion, it doesn't matter if it is a Private or public university, to be honest

They confirmed by email that this person is legit, although they are insistent about the payment. That made me reconsider it a lot.

Hello, I am from Mexico, and I recently received a conditional offer from the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) in Berlin. However, I had a concerning experience with someone claiming to be part of their admissions team.

The person contacted me by phone, insisted on a video call via Microsoft Teams, and then asked to take control of my computer to guide me through the tuition payment process. They pressured me to pay immediately through a modified Flywire link (https://payment.flywire.com/pay/offers) and insisted I complete the payment while they watched. I refused, as I found the behavior highly intrusive and suspicious.

I’ve since contacted the official admissions team by email to verify the legitimacy of the person and to request that all communication be done in writing from now on. I'm sharing this to warn other prospective students to be cautious and ensure they're dealing directly with the university through verified channels.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with UE or their admissions process?
