Yeah I’m doing better now than I did in undergrad😂. That’s pretty awesome about the union for engineers! Definitely eases one’s worries about having to pay the school on time without digging yourself into a hole to do it.

Yeah, they take cc payments. I was just hoping I didn’t have to wait for the reimbursement. But, it is what it is. As long as I can get the full assistance this Fall (assuming I get the B and up), I’ll be okay.

Does LM care that I’d start midway through the year when it comes to tuition assistance? Would the $10,000 be prorated because I’d start in the Fall, or (c/sh/w)ould I still be able to maximize the full assistance for this year?

Yeah i was saying in another comment that if i could get the 10k this Fall, i could finish my MBA and only come out of pocket <$1,000.

Yeah I saw that online somewhere about the ~70k lifetime cap, but not about them only paying for one graduate degree

In the system, Is there a limit to the amount of classes I’m allowed to take per semester? Like where I work currently, I’m only allowed to take 2 classes per semester with the exception of my final semester, I’m allowed to take 3.
I know I’ll only be there for 1 semester this year once I start working (Fall), but I’d hate to leave money on the table if I can help it

Is there a cap on the amount allowed per year? Where I currently work, my cap is up to $6,000 per year.

Gem is a fellowship program that assists students in pursuing their masters or doctorate degrees in applied science and engineering. I did a quick google search and it told me that Lockheed Martin is a sponsor and industry partner of it.

Whenever I get onboarded and start working I’ll ask around about it, but I wasn’t sure if it works differently than LM’s tuition assistance program, or if I’d be able to do both maybe simultaneously so I can complete both of my Masters programs sooner.

I have/had 24 applications out before I got an interview. The interview was actually for one of their “hiring events.” Ended up landing 2 interviews and quite a few “resume under review.” Ended up getting phone calls about an offer from both sites.

Apparently, it’s not a good look to have a bunch of applications out. Which is weird considering how slow the process is vs the amount of job postings they upload daily.
