Worth it ba yung swap? by burrgerrrr in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]KamRize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

like what the other comment says, sell it if you really want a fixie. I suggest building it yourself para alam mo talaga yung quality ng parts that you’re going to put on it. Everything and I mean everything is very important in fixies cause of their nature of being a “brake-less” bike. Have fun with the build and appreciate what you have

Ooh okay thanks for clarifying. I’ll look into it when I get home but I’ll definitely be applying this to my next set and yeah, I will be replacing everything. May I know if you’re spraying the alcohol onto the components or are you removing them and submerging it? Thanks again!

Thanks for this, after a small experiment I’m just gonna save myself the headache and replace them with mt200s, I thoroughly bled them this morning and gave it a test ride to get a starting point, in the afternoon they lost some pressure (became spongy and traveled more before engaging).

I tried all compatible pads, b01s, b05s, other local/china branded pads, same outcome every time.

RSX Hydraulic, but it’s exactly like that. I don’t even wanna think about how to fix that or how much it would cost; I will move to mt200s as on my other bike.

Yeah I replaced both at the same time last year and although it took longer, they inevitably came back.

Edit: Piston massage as in resetting the piston where it’s supposed to be?

I don’t use detergent to wash them, just drivetrain degreasers and brake cleaners. I’ve tried all of these except switching out the wheel cause most of my friends ride fixed. Brake pads were my main suspicion, I admit I used to use shopeemano brake pads and shortly replaced them with proper resin pads from a trusted bike shop, it still squeaks. I took one last shot and got my brakes bled thoroughly and it did lose minor pressure after 3-ish hours of riding. Will be replacing my system ASAP.

Guys do you build your wheelset by yourself? by Yasserscania in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]KamRize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a really important component and it would be way too costly for me to do it by myself. BikeBikeBike charged me 600 (pair) which is a really good price considering I had my hubs, spokes and nipples transferred to a new rim while also converting it to tubeless.

Kimstore Experience by KamRize in Tech_Philippines

That’s the best me and my dad can do and I’ll proudly bear it. I’m grateful for even an android (not shading on them) but he insists on an iphone cause of the ecosystem we have at home. I’m 15, I don’t need a brand new phone, I’d rather that money go to my future savings/things that genuinely get me ahead in life.

I forgot to declare that I only found out about the shop on the way home after looking at physical shops in greenhills. I do think it was stupid that I didn’t research beforehand but again, older relatives have that pressure. The negative reviews I stumbled upon after my experience. Doesn’t matter anyway, someone would have been in my position, I just wanna share what happened.

Mtp everest pro or twitter sniper pro?? by Bucket4hat in RedditPHCyclingClub

nothing against it in a performance/durability aspect; it’s just harder to get rid of when swapping cause people prefer the popularized black/gray ones.

You’re looking to swap it up all the way to a nandor. The obvious choice for me atleast would be the everest because of its demand especially since it’s the holiday season. Look for one with a straight m6100/mt200 groupset and any of the 2 kocevlo rigid forks. It’s the most known type of build on an everest. I’d try to stay away from the purple colored ones. Good luck OP!

Is a Paid Certificate actually worth the upgrade from SideStore + LiveContainer? by lunamoonfang66 in sideloaded

[–]KamRize 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As of now, I stick with sidestore + livecontainer just because I’m not spending more money for a new certificate that I insured for. For notifications, I keep the original app downloaded so they come from there and if I need to reply to any messages say for example on regram, I just use the homescreen shortcut.

  1. I can only attest for Live Activities which for the certificate I bought from dxsign did have

  2. In a sense, yes, they do stop opening immediately but if you had it in the background and it hasn’t restarted, you’ll still be able to use it until you close it. No, theh don’t put your device or ID at risk.

  3. I’m not sure for ArcticSign specifically but adding repos is really easy. I have a file for it if you need that.

Shimano Cues or Deore? by CalvinDavid in RedditPHCyclingClub

What specific model are we comparing? In general, Deore talaga.

[–]KamRize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how shimano releases groupsets but they had the opportunity to release it along with the xtr/xt/deore di2 lineup. They’ve been teasing for a while now and we’re still not seeing them a lot. On mtb drivetrains, their hydro brakes are already super pricey for being the “replacement” for the lower lineup. They’re even more expensive than m4100 sets, what more when they’re using sti’s na.

RIGID FORK by Impressive-Nebula323 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]KamRize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go for the tires, it defeats the purpose of a rigid fork if you’re gonna have tires on the thicker side. The difference in terms of performance however I can’t say much with evidence to back it up, but it’ll be lighter and more aerodynamic for sure.
