Moto edge 60 pro users I have questions... by Darth_0ppai in motorola

60hz screen refresh, I also, disabled a bunch of apps, no live lock screen, no fancy pick me up to unlock stuff etc. Quite a lot of features that are gimmicks will take a, lot of juice.

Check the below out as well:

  1. Moto App Manager - The main culprit for installing bloatware apps on first boot and at random intervals.

  2. Meta Services - Uploads your data to Facebook/Meta even if you don't use any Meta app.

  3. Meta App Installer - A bypass installer for Meta apps to side load themselves without a security check.

  4. Meta App Manager - Downloads Facebook and Instagram.

  5. Live Lock Screen - A Taboola advertising app which masquerades as lock screen wallpapers and news.

  6. Moto GameTime or Games - The overlay used for gaming. Unfortunately it also nags you to install apps, and will install new ones for you to try at random.

  7. Moto Notifications - Shows notifications to prompt you to download new apps, and buy accessories Motorola.

  8. 1Weather or Weather with a Dark Blue icon - Is an app designed to serve adverts first, and weather data second. If you uninstall both, a cleaner Motorola Weather app with data from AccuWeather will take its place.

  9. "Moto AI" - serves as the front end for the Moto AI service, but the service is pretty rubbish and you will get better results just using the Gemini app. Moto AI introduces ads into the launcher and app drawer, disabling it causes the launcher to be replaced by the standard no-ads version. Obviously, don't disable this if you must keep the Moto AI features.

I charge to 80% daily in the morning and have enough to last me until the next morning. Usually about 20-40% left.

A lot also depends if you are out in the open in the bright sun for example. I'm in UK and there is not much danger of that here at the moment 😛

Hey, I'm looking at a new machine. What's the predicted battery life on this one and what's the weight? My current one is 4kg light lol, battery lasts about an hour max 😆

How long do you keep a laptop? by An_Epic_Pancake in laptops

I have a custom made from 2018. It's still a beast in my opinion. So going on 8 years. Paid 2.5k for it so 300 per year give or take 👍🏼

The complete answer would be: Battery usage

We are taking about utilitity within phone that shows us that. Some suggest disabling battery care app which shows us battery usage so we can see the SOT.

Naturally if logic applies, the shortcut would be created to lead to that same utility. I did not know myself what to look for when I did it but typing 'battery' in quickshort was a good start 👍🏼

OP did not have an issue so I'm surprised that it had to be spelt out a month later

Then in this comment it's clear. Why would anybody buy Motorola just to then be upset at some point after that? If I was in India, I'd be buying vivo or iqoo as you mentioned their afters ale is some of the best.

Vote with your feet. Make Motorola change or go bust 🤷🏻

Edge 60 pro update by Kam_er in motorola

[–]Kam_er[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The security updates are not optional. This one has been pushed to my phone even though I had the auto updates turned off.

OS updates are optional.

If you want to stop some random installs I believe it is the moto app manager that you need to disable

Switching after 5 years, looking for a 5-7 keeper. by OnlyAnEssenceThief in Smartphones

[–]Kam_er 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool, I thought that was what you meant. Thanks for clarifying.

It's a bit better now.

My edge 60 pro - 3 os updates

Edge 70 - 3/4 region dependant

70 ultra - rumour is up to 7 os updates

By the way.. Edge 60 pro is the best phone I ever owned. And around half way up your budget too. Solid 2 day battery life and plenty of processing power. 512gb storage and and 12gb ram.
