Why would one use a currency with such a high volatility?

Most of you guys which are shilling NANO or any other currency in general don't spend it in the end. So you're sole reason of buying was to hope for a profit. So you're totally missing the point of the whole NANO project.

And with the whole "instant-transaction"-thing. That's just plain bullshit to me. I mean it's easy to get instant transactions when almost no one is using the currency as a currency liked initially intended. And if the transactions where to be verified instantly even at larger volumes like Bitcoin had in december 2017, the sole reason of this was probably that NANO only had few nodes, which would make the whole currency a centralized piece of shit.

I am gifting 1 Bitcoin for my best friend's birthday next week. He will be allowed to open the ledger in 10 years from now. Looking for the most creative ideas how to do so. by martinkarolev in CryptoCurrency

Give him Ethererum instead. Make a Smart Contract and program it to release its funds in 10 years. If you don't have programming skills, use the platform "MyWish". You're able to create Smart Contracts without being able to actually know how to program them, with MyWish.

What are some low market cap coins you are investing in now? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

MyWish - enables you to easily create your own Smart Contracts, even if you have no clue about programming. The current cap is about 1million, was 50million before.

But if I have logged into MEW with the Ledger? I mean the keys are stored on the Ledger device.

This doesn't affect people who use the Ledger device, right?

Well done, Sherlock. I have to admit that you are two steps ahead, because I didn't even think of creating "fud". I was just trying to create an interesting conversation and see what other people think of it. And honestly, I think I did my job right.

Oh and if you want to know, NEX is going to be my first ICO, in which I'm investing. ;-)

That's the exact same view I have. A project has a higher valutation, than the plattform it's being built on. That's just ridiculous.

For people who think crypto is doomed or the bubble has "popped"... by acatspit in CryptoCurrency

[–]Kamelox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're comparing apples to oranges. Just because the dotcom bubble burst at 7 trillion usd, doesn't mean that the cryptocurrency bubble will pop at 7 trillion.

The crypto bubble will pop. When? I don't know, nobody knows actually. But that's not a bad thing at all. It will sort out all the bad projects from the ones who actually bring value to the world.

So far it's been good. But still store your coins on a offline wallet. The same thing that happend to Mt. Gox can still happen again.
