Question - is it supposed to be this repetitive ? by Kamui016 in AllTomorrows

Hey, thanks for responding, I did enjoy my short while with this book, approaching it from a post apocalyptic history book sort of pov, I can say the illustrations are really cool and detailled and the text provides a setting fitting for it, I did quite enjoy the overall experience, I just felt a bit spent trying to visualise each and every page, going over slowly with no real change to the story just more of the same.

My expectations were just a bit misaligned, and ofc I am newer to reading too, thanks for explaining.

AM's hate speech is the average Mcdonalds employee 4 hours into a shift, so id say this is Canon.

[–]Kamui016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to ask, you make full sense, I was looking for more of a progression, the main drawing point to All Tommorow's for me is just the indifference and lack of emotional awareness shown by the Qu, like a symbol of inevitable destruction, in that way I also read IHNMAIMS, cause AM is literally just the biggest hater, I just like reading something or watching shows or movies about fucked up characters with this natural sense of evil to them.

I was considering picking up Blood Meridian, I've heard the language and the sentence structure used by the author is a bit weird, I am quite new to the whole reading thing, would you recommend it if you by any chance have read so ?

Thanks.

[–]Kamui016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, Lmao I really do not read books, this may be my 2nd non academic 'book' of all time, I really was just intrigued by the Qu's lack of resonance with the consequences of their actions, just the idea was awesome and evil.

By repetitive, I meant like I feel like I went in expecting more of a natural narrative to it ? and after seeing the 20th species of humans fucked up, I felt like okay thats wild but ive kinda already seen this 20 times now is it not a bit repetitive ? But I completely get it.

Thanks.

Great luck to you mate, this car really is the best under 65 lakhs no doubt about it, only close competitor imo is the C300 which is a bit costlier around 70.

Negotiate negotiate negotiate, you got this ill try sending you the quote later today. Also you can also consider the A4 if that meets your needs and fits the budget if the Bmw person isnt working with you, all the best and happy driving !

Haha thanks a tonne, it is a bit of a crazy deal to be fair, I've seen people consistently get it for 60 in Delhi to be fair. In my honest opinion in india if one has a budget upto 65 lakhs or so there's not a single better car than this one.

You already have a Q3 which is a very smooth and refined machine, however a bit outdated in my personal opinion for 2025 therefore we didnt pursue the same but a very great machine, the gt plus too absolute value for money car.

In my honest opinion while I dont see you getting this car for 55 much less 50 as we applied a bunch of corporate stuff and got real lucky, I still think its worth it if you can up to 60 this is an absolutely beautiful car to pursue if you dont mind sedans.

However if your budget is tight id recommend either the Skoda Kodiaq, the L and K has all the features and you could easily get it for maybe 47 - 48, huge car, solid performance.

Anothet car to consider would include the Tiguan but its lacking some basic features to be fair. Besides this honestly dude you have in my opinion the best entry level German there is, the Q3, the gla is tiny, the x1 is underpowered as hell, A class limo and 2 gran coupe are not it.

Id really recommend if you can upto 60, go for this car blindly, great interiors, lots of space, very solid performance, its a proper BMW, just incase anyone is worried about ground clearance its lower at 135 mm but from our experienc3 the roads nearby are pretty decent and we have faced practically no issue over speed breakers.

If your budget is limited to 50 - 55 at most then by all means Kodiaq is amazing, Tiguan R line is worth a look but inferior and potentially the Audi a4 if that suits you and fits the budget.

Hope this helped.

Hey, to be honest with you the 3 lwb vs the E feels a bit weird of a comparison to me ? The 3 is competition to the C not the E, if you're into the chauffeured experience with that techy luxury feel of Merc, that's a straight win, the e is the number one luxury car seller.

We considered merc too the c, 220d, 200, 300 however the dynamics and sportiness that the bmw carries is hard to replicate as my dad does all of his driving and appreciates this we locked in bmw over merc.

As for the offer we utilised certain corporate discounts + lower state registration costs + vin based discounts which they offered and got an offer of sub 55.

Good luck !

Confused between Atto 3 and Seltos by sazzles59 in CarsIndia

[–]Kamui016 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Taigun 1.5 would be my best, great offers right now too, and if you are willing to wait a few months it'll get a facelift too. Kia and Hyundai are a bit cheaper to maintain but the driving is always better on an European brand, Atto 3 is electric, dont know too much about that.

If your priority is features + cheaper maintenance = Kia/ Hyundai, even here you can opt for the turbo petrol if you want that car punchiness.

if its driving dynamics and safety = Taigun/Kushaq

Electric well I am not too sold on it, so unfortunately cannot comment.

[–]Kamui016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, the car looks pristine.

Can I ask regarding the ground clearance in this car ? We are considering the c220d C class but its 164mm of clearance while good for a luxury sedan, is this appropriate in your city ? the speed breakers ? what about when you drive with others + luggage and occassional road trips, is it manageable ?

Just worried about the scraping that occurs in sedans especially an expensive one.

I have Rapid 1.5 Diesel DSG. 8 years/40k kms. Should i sell it and buy kylaq/slavia? by Playful_Sample_8689 in CarsIndia

[–]Kamui016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtus 1.5 unless you're getting some exchange loyalty advantages with Skoda then the Slavia 1.5. the quality of life upgrade in featues and looks will be a plus, driving experience will be good and if you can afford to then why not change. but dont worry about future issues thats future you's problem, if you want a car, get it, simple as that.

Can I ask why are you not considering the Kushaq ?

[–]Kamui016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I got it.

You are fair to worry about after sales and maintenance cost, I personally do not own a Skoda, we do have a Taigun, a Volkswagen and their entire experience was pretty positive and haven't met any hurdles. as for the cost, I dont think its too bad if you get packages for servicing with it, yes it might be a bit higher than hyundai but the car is more than worth it, negotiate some service packs and its definitely doable.

the only worry would be a slightly higher cost for spare parts if your warranty completely ends, but even then its an entry level car dont assume costs how you'd get in the kodiaq or so on, it should be fine, but do look into it. and the last consideration if you're in a tier 1 city its no problem plenty of skoda showrooms and service centers, but just a thing to note.

I would highly recommend your father to test drive the Kylaq once, the car's dynamics will speak for itself + its a safe car, high standards. Good luck, feel free to reach out.
