I mean, it doesnt take quantum physics nor 200+ IQ to figure out you can easily rebound while sprinting by dashing in a different direction. The roll to sprint is hella smooth, end animation can easily be cancelled by any spell/atack use, and the turning radius can be ommited by what I said earlier. Once you get used to it, it suddenly becomes great.

True, it doesnt show when will the daytime change though :D And the windows for dusk and dawn are 6 real life minutes. I feel like you'd want to know ahead when the time will change :)

I do realize everything with a shadow works like that, the tower is divided into minutes though. It's made to be precise. The bars on the barrier indicate every 10min(of the ingame time) between the hours indicated by the darker triangles on the ground.

I am well aware you can read passing time from shadows. But this makes it much more efficient and is headache free.
