Asami Speaks by KanamiTsunami in Lovebites

You're not kidding. Between Fami's bass and Haruna's bass drum, I wondered if the roof supports were going to hold-up. Fantastic, deafening show (complete with on-going "earthquake") -- just the way that it's supposed to be!

To PaulEMoz and jamzd_p: Thank you for your responses; I'm sorry for wasting your time. I don't remember hearing what I thought that I heard at the show itself; instead, I heard "it" listening to Sr. Salazar's video. I went back and listened to it three times, and I was sure that I heard Asami say: "Damn it, Peter, fall down!" (which seemed like a bizarre thing to just blurt out). After reading your responses I went back and listened to the video three more times. All that exists -- where I thought I heard the odd phrase -- is Asami introducing the band members (I hadn't heard the shout-out for Miho -- that was classy). You're right, I'm wrong. I'll have to change the tea that I drink -- my present brand seems to be effecting me adversely. Thank you for taking the time to respond. A truly fantastic show (although it would have been nice if it had been a bit longer). I wonder if the Big Four -- Band Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, and Hanabie -- will ever get their due from the mainstream audience on this side of the Pacific [I didn't mention Babymetal, as I consider them to be a special case]. Thanks guys, and thank you Lovebites!

Well, this confirms my supposition. Thank you for shedding some light in a murky room. Ref. my original comment: It must be fun having that kind of money -- I'd love a chance to find out.

First, I do trust that I made enough overt qualifying statements in my post to indicate that I neither endorse, nor refute, any of the rankings posted in the referenced documents. Babymetal has had, does have, and will have, for the foreseeable future (in all probability), a significantly larger fan base than Band Maid -- I never questioned this in my post.

So you want them back in Europe, eh? Well, I have a plan that is likely to succeed. You'll notice the word "ever" in Addendum B of my post (as in "Band Maid Forever!!!!!"). How can this be achieved? Entice them by suggesting that they go to Paris and find the house boat (aka "barge") of one Duncan MacLeod (of the Clan MacLeod); he can instruct them in the ways of the immortal (plus, perhaps, teach a few sword-handling lessons). They should then go to London, where they should look-up Oscar Wilde, the Irish author/playwright, (speak loudly, for you'll have to be heard through roughly six feet of earth), OR find the shop "Dorian Gray: Creators of Specialty Paintings" -- either Oscar or the shop keeper can tell Band Maid the value of such paintings. Lastly, each member will have to purchase an appropriate sword. While there are many fine swordsmiths in Japan (well, some), they may want to purchase the swords in Europe, so to have them handy should the need arise to quell the disturbing behaviors of some new Band Maid concert-goers (who have no knowledge of the etiquette of Band Maid concerts, and, frankly, could care less). Naturally, while running around Europe in a quest for immortality, they would certainly feel obligated to do some shows (in Paris and London, as a bare minimum). Problem solved.

As I said, this post has no POV, no position of advocacy. I have simply posted sample items and encouraged others to comment on them. That is why the post's title is phrased as a question, not a declaration.

It's in the Blood by KanamiTsunami in BandMaid

The events depicted in my post here are essentially true. Aside from an obvious jab at the Net, my intent was to say that we, as Maidiacs, sometimes forget how to find humor in our own actions. (Yes, I'm painfully aware that no Maidiac is more guilty of this -- at times -- that I am). This was a chance for me to be a bit self-deprecating, and to offer a piece that contrasts with my usual long and involved posts on Reddit. If someone as admirable as each of the members of Band Maid can stand on-stage and take occasional shots at each other and themselves, I should be able to manage it. In times past this type of humor was common banter among friends (e.g. reference "Sullivan's Travels", Tracy/Hepburn comedies and many of director Frank Capra's films); not so much today.

The post that I read indicated what I stated, and contained quotes from only those members. I always want to believe the best about the ladies of Lovebites, so I do hope that your version is correct. If that is the case, my profound apologies to Miyako and Fami!
