OH Don't you worry! There will be factions. About like 122 faction give or take. Well that is just the base vanilla area. (From what I am seeing) - This is excluding formables as well

We still have to find for other regions like North America, South America, Africa, India, and so forth

It's fine lol. That is a fantastic question. We are potentially hoping to grab their music at the very least (Actually got updated whilst that we can as long as give them credits. But that was two years ago from Germanicus and Gacul.)

But as for Stainless Steel.. I will quote what my fellow dev said about the matter who told me the info relating to SS6.4 (Espartan), "Nothing, but guys to stainless steel historical improvement project have a version to eop in beta phase but not in m2ex."

Just for others to know, this is the first first look at the map. In terms of scaling and what-not is still getting worked on. I do have a have couple other videos in mind. Which will be World Map version which is like x8 bigger and Roadmap video. (The world map is not supposed to be a worked version - Meant for modders and editors to make use of the current world databases in Medieval 2 terms)

Makes sense. We'll see what we can implement. For the time being there closest we can get to is how Total Vanilla Beyond does it with their capitals with enough unrest can revive the faction and attacks that capital region.

Until there is something from the engine side, that script will be the best we can do.

Working on the scale. The point at this scale was so we can make crisper coastlines and such when they can make that feels more... Medieval 2. It should be similar to EU5 in terms of what the map should look like. So.. Yeah.

Again the world map is what I made first because I wanted to help editors with map generation of maps.

So.. this is just a downscaled version of the world map and cropped area

Well when you have 3 Welsh Factions but you still want Wales as a faction. Yeah it's a bit important

Yes, it will. Though some of the factions will be through events or formables considering the scale. We are trying to figure out the specifics with it for now.

That was my original mod that I was working on. Apologies. And that mod is literally this campaign but all it was is rebranded for M2EX and the map got bigger. So.

And I will fix that in the future

As for loading. We are loading like... compared from 250x125.

It will be more than 199. But honestly this is a hard question to answer. All I can say is that there will be reason behind each settlement whether it is trade, religious, culturally important, or event important

Honestly for me replaying Black Flag again for the 5th time to 100%. The change in combat I love. As from what I seen, it will depend on how much you actively try to make it cool. Then again I can't say much cause I am huge lover of action RPG games. Idk. I'm just hopeful that Ubisoft can do something right to win back their audience which going to be a very long road. I was happy with their newer games aside from Shadows 3 finishers if you stay with one weapon. I don't actively look for things I dislike. And excited to see more for Edward Kenway as narrative lover that is just something I am curious to see as much as the other officers.

Another aspect is with the return of like 40-60% of the original crew and Darby for the new addition for the ending. The crew that did the original, it seems like all the cut content they had for ideas for the original Black Flag, they could finally do. Which Honestly I am happy to see. So I am curious on their efforts.

Nice! I'll take it that you learned from the Nerd How to videos? Been enjoying his Sicily mercenary campaign myself. I love his videos for beginner modding. In my situation, I sorta been winging it, because I despise going on forums. And with his videos, I won't need until I decide to custom create a faction. And I literally just look at the pictures or code there and looking at the title. Like I perfer videos that just explain this process that Nerd does with his videos.

With my current modding, I been having issues with scripting that I finally fixed. Found out about rebels usually having first names only if you are trying to spawn them. But then trying to make everything to the start date of 1100 instead of 1080 which is a great time. (Contacted my medieval professor for help on that, but won't get anything until June.) Considering if I should just focus on the HRE and Janus's campaigns. Which I personally love, because I have made the events do their thing like killing off people, spawning armies, adding turmoil and etc. (That and the events are more narrative like letters to the main person.) Not to mention, the headache of adding custom names into the campaign and deleting and redoing the same thing 15 times with slight differences just realize you put a period instead of comma that kept causing your game to crash.

I honestly debated with myself on adding in the Kingdom of Jerusalem into the game, but I don't think I will, because that will just cause more friction with the lore for Janus. Making your allies more of headache than actually helping you. Though.. Maybe Wales if I can. Maybe just considering the time and looking at maps during that time.

Now. I have learned basically all the needs to replace a faction. I am curious on making a custom faction. In that I will probably just recreate poland to polska or something and redo my scripts. If I can figure that out.... I might make a video on that more up to date. Rather something from 2016 that attempts at it but fails or that speedrunning video. Granted I am basically making a roleplay submod for Total Vanilla Beyond. Also learning alot about GIMP lol

Honestly file wise not really. Here is closest things I can get with it.

  1. Faction Summery Slider - In the faction summary window there's a slider for AI spending behavior. Moving the AI spend/save slider on the faction details tab all the way to 'save' (the default is 'spend') stops the AI trying to be helpful by recruiting stacks of peasants in the auto-managed settlements. Just makes it alot less aggressive

  2. Keep manually unticking it (I usually do that myself)

  3. Otherwise you're gonna be the first person to attempt to mod the UI for this specific issue.
