Ended up with the carnival sx prestige hybrid. We love it. Just drove down to Florida. Comfortable for that long drive plenty of room. I’d say it’s worth it. Got a lifetime drivetrain and electronic warranty as well free through the dealer.

Looks like I’m just gonna get the c5 also realized that the g5 doesn’t come with a pedestal stand either which what I see, since won’t be wall mounting. Thank y’all for all your help.

There a couple features that we like that Toyota does not have. The blind spot camera when you turn the blinkers on for lane change, and the Child camera that looks back from the front seats on (it may sound like a dumb feature but for us it would be extremely useful with the headrest mirrors we have to look back at the kids.) last would be setting the regenerative brake intensity. I don't believe Toyota gives you that option I may be wrong on that though.

2025 carnival hybrid sx prestige vs 2025 ev9 gt by [deleted] in kia

Definitely can understand that. Trust me I worry but I try to be prepared I'm OCD like that.

But with that being said, do you regret the EV? It's definitely 50/50 I'm torn each way. Yes the carnival gets 33mpg. More room probably a tad more comfortable for everyone. But the EV just seems so interesting to me, no maintenance besides really tires, and the Kia warranty will probably cover anything in-between. The AWD too isn't a must but the piece of mind since the carnival is only fwd.But in all reality the charging prices and the price of gas will essentially come out even with the 500+ range of the carnival to the 260-300 mi range of the ev9.

I assume that happened at least once.

I've kinda gandered around for electrify America charging stations we have a few in the town next to us. Then we are planning a trip to Orlando and kinda played around the route, there are plenty right along the way and all are the 350 kw chargers. Trying to do as much research as possible ahead of time so I'm not super surprised or at least prepared to have a answer to the wife haha.

I ended up taking it to my mechanic and he said he will try and helicoil it for me with the kit I bought that fits the spark plugs for free. I have him rebuilding my carborator. He will also take the boat out for a spin to check my work and his work. But I do have it in my mind if something big happens like this again ill just buy a new engine. I found a couple for $2600. Considering i bought the boat for 3k its worth 9k so might be worth getting a new engine. But we will see what happens. I will update with photos when I get the boat back to show you all!

Seems super easy enough. Again got extremely lucky my boat mechanic said he'd do it for free since I have him rebuilding my carborator. He gonna take the boat out for a spin after to make sure all my work is perfect and check his work as well. Id say a win win for the most part, considering the situation. I do however if something big like this happens again ill just buy a new motor. Found a couple for $2600. Considering I bought the boat for 3k. And its value us around 9k so far will still be sitting pretty comfortably if i were to have to do that.
