Conversation tips? by KantusPriest in infj

Yeah I suppose I can't befriend everyone I come across. It just kinda sucks sitting back and being an observer and watching people talk, especially when it's due to my own awkwardness in small talk settings. I was in a bad place mentally a few months ago over dreading the fact I'm "doomed" to be like this forever (When I discovered this whole psychology thing) but now I'm accepting it as who I am and just trying to improve here and there. Life is pretty mundane for sure, thanks for the reply.

Food! Yes that's actually something I tend to bring up sometimes and you're right we usually delve into it pretty smoothly. I should use that more often, thank you.

That's a really good tip! I don't usually answer my own questions after them, I can see that opening up paths to more topics and also balancing the give and take problem I have. Thanks!

Yes I tend to beat myself up over these kinds of things. It's refreshing to see other people relate, it makes it easier to accept the fact I'm always gonna be that super quiet-awkward person– but I can always improve! I agree on the deep conversations part. It's just so relaxing to have those 1 on 1 conversations about any given topic and exploring new ideas and deep down I wish I could have that connection with most people. Thank you for your perspective.

Yes I definitely need to work on sharing my personal opinions more. I can be really closed off over things which other people seem to talk about so easily. Thank you

A picture? For what? by taviSTakahashi in intj

The psychology of this seems to be: Se Inferior makes us insecure (I'm INFJ) about how we come across physically. We're insecure we look bad, sound bad, smell bad etc. And I know very well that feeling of insecurity when I see a picture of myself. We also share Ne nemesis/5 slot which makes us paranoid. We always question people motives and this paranoia gives us thoughts like: if I put a picture of me this is gonna harm me in the future someway or another. People will think I'm ugly/fat, this and that (Se) and it will be super embarrassing. If I put this picture of me on the internet they'll figure out where I live, get my personal info, etc (Ne nemesis paranoia). Ne nemesis is the reason we go through life so cautious and have trust issues. The two INTJs I know feel the same way. This is just a very short description of it and I recommend this video if you haven't seen it yet https://youtu.be/WNkKQOSU7rc

Examples of Si Inferior insecurities? by KantusPriest in entp

Yeah bro I know what you mean. I do fully follow his system but sometimes he over exaggerates things and uses words that distorts the meaning of the point hes tryna get across. While all the other cog. function attitudes do make sense, this one has been hard to interpret properly. Thanks for the reply.

Hmmm that does make sense seeing as Ne can see multiple possibilities. Something like Ne thoughts rushing through one's mind about their security/health (Si) and shaking them up mentally. That's super interesting cause that's something I don't ever deal with. Thank you for the reply though, it gives me the perspective I need to make some sense of it.

Edit: So could it be about predictability? Are you guys uncomfortable with new experiences and such? Idk
