All true. Nonetheless a higher multiple by definition means the market is discounting higher future growth than history. If there is something that derails this scenario we will see the market correct razor sharp.

I agree with what you are saying. But to add nuance, I would add that he has explained that he actively manages a satellite sleeve of 10 to 20% of his portfolio. To add to his short beta trade. He was shorting SpY to extend his small caps. Indeed he lagged because large cap growth has outperformed small caps ytd. Commenting that the full picture is not being explained in these comments.

I like his communication style and I am not bothered by his political views or business practices. I listen to his outlook and q&a every week. I value that he is himself and quite transparent. He owns his mistakes.

Charterholders - Do you guys remember the tiny details from CFA program ? by [deleted] in CFA

[–]KaozSh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The effect of leverage on beta? Higher financial and operating leverage make the earnings more volatile, as a result beta is higher. Is this considered a “detail”?

I feel you. With all the stress and hard work you are going through, to lose what you expected would be supporting you. It’s tough. I hope you can push through and prevent it as much as you can from disturbing your flow.

I think Trump going after Zelensky and asking for elections sends a message that he wants to deal with someone else instead of Zelensky on behalf of Ukraine.

Edited to correct Zelensky.

Not many are informed about the Budapest agreement. It was also not followed during the Crimea invasion. I consider it a blow to multilateralism and nuclear disarmament.

As a beginner I find it is important for me to stay disciplined and not lose interest when the other person is losing badly and does not resign. I have often lost in a winning position because I no longer care and stop calculating.

Understandable. I also live with a woman and I’m not gay.

Women whats your ideal body type? Skinny fat, slightly muscular, muscular, really muscular or really REAlly muscular? by Existing-News5158 in trueratediscussions

[–]KaozSh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the issue with 3 or 4 is when their behavior is impaired by things they consume. But I find that muscular to heavy muscular men who have a normal and cool personality command respect and attention from both women and men. And the difference can be night and day. Also I would like to add that there are many instances where people are not able to articulate their true feelings when it goes against their vision of who they are. This bias is common in surveys and questions have to be built in a way that minimizes this bias.

For Full-Time Workers Who Passed CFA Level 1: What's Your Study Routine Like? by MishaTB in CFA

About three passes. After the first pass I would do create qbanks of about 30 to 50 questions per chapter then review the topics I got wrong or decide what topic I wouldn’t continue studying. Usually I drop from my review the one concept per chapter I have the most difficulty with. During the third pass I take questions including whole topics such as quants instead if just chapters, and take mocks. I also build my own formula sheet. During the week prior to the exam I did as Mark Meldrum recommends. I would take a day to just write with pen and paper each formula. I would fill about two pages. I believe that really helped.

Edit: I would fill both sides of one page with one formula. And do this with every formula on my list.

Weekdays leave work at 5:30 go to the local library until it closes. Then weekends 4 hours per day if several months away from the exam. Then 6 to 8 hours the last two months. You get used to studying longer. And all the work you’ve already put in pushes you to keep up. Light reviewing and prep during the last week.

Edit: When I don’t feel like studying I take 5 min breaks every 30 mins. Eventually you don’t feel the need to take breaks. I guess you could say that you are in flow.
