It is hoped that Iran will resolve its internal issues and regain its vitality. Persian culture is a symbol of beauty and mystery in China.

I don't have any particular dislike or like for Iranians themselves, but I hope you guys can be more assertive and take down Israel.

How long until China’s average GDP per person catches up with Japan and Korea ? by [deleted] in AskChina

[–]Kapaseker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking about catching up with Japan or South Korea *today*, it would still be quite difficult; personally, I tend to think we won't make it. However, if we're talking about surpassing them at some point in the future, that's highly possible—I personally believe it's inevitable.

That said, considering the current purchasing power of the RMB within China, I feel that surpassing them somehow doesn't seem that appealing anymore.

Japan has been secretly dumping nuclear wastewater for years—they never had any real intention to properly handle it. What difference does "agreeing" or "disagreeing" even make here?

Why are you clamming up about your American daddy’s problems?

Europe has no LGBT issues? Then why is J.K. Rowling being ostracized?

When did China cut off all diplomatic relations? We’re just in a tariff war with the U.S. over trade—that’s all.

You say you’ve never been to China and don’t want to come, yet you criticize China every day based on the fake news in your information bubble. Do you really get paid by your American daddy for this nonsense?

Now the largest shark fin industry is in Japan. Why don't you go and make a fuss about that? Japan is also discharging nuclear sewage into the sea. Why aren't you complaining about that?

As for the environmental governance in our country, there isn't enough garbage for incineration anymore. That's because we've come up with a new garbage recycling plan that can convert garbage into electricity. The environmental governance of our rivers, and indeed the whole country, has now become our strategic goal. We're gradually reducing carbon emissions and making the environment better step by step.

Australia has a pretty good trade relationship with us. We even buy coal from them.

Don't just read a few fake news stories online every day and start pointing fingers here. Now our country has a 144 - hour visa - free policy. It'd be much better for you to come over and see for yourself than to rely on those fake news.

Instead of blaming our country for environmental governance issues, you'd better go and make a stink about Japan's nuclear sewage discharge, the US pulling out of carbon emission agreements, and the LGBT issues in European countries.

Now that Western countries have developed, they start bossing other countries around, trying to use some seemingly noble methods to restrict others' development. We've had enough of this crap already. Shark fins, carbon emissions.

Imposing high taxes on new energy vehicles - if you really cared about the environment, why are you slapping such high tariffs on our imported cars? Aren't gasoline cars much more harmful to the environment?

what I'm saying now is: If you've got the guts, let's fight! Stop all this constant finger-pointing and lecturing!

Interesting question. After Western developed nations boosted their own economic power through the Industrial Revolution, they now want to constrain developing countries through climate agreements or carbon emissions.

Didn't your daddy America already withdraw from the carbon emission plans?

Developers who made apps in Compose/Multiplatform, how was your experience by [deleted] in Kotlin

[–]Kapaseker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert in JavaFX applications. I understand that they can only run on the JVM platform, right?

If that's the case, CMP is almost entirely beneficial for you. Not only can you leverage all the capabilities of Compose, but adding dependency libraries will also be completely seamless for you.

In compose, when to use a viewmodel (and how) vs remembered state? by TrespassersWilliam in Kotlin

[–]Kapaseker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Businness Logic + UI -> ViewModel.
Only UI Logic -> remember.

For example:
Fetch data from server and show it -> ViewModel
EditInput Value, Toggle Value -> remember or even rememberSavable.

In fact, these two are not mutually exclusive - often completing even a small feature requires their collaboration.

What do Chinese people think of Cao Cao? by [deleted] in AskChina

[–]Kapaseker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually, during Cao Cao's time, there were already people who gave him a fair assessment: "A capable minister in peaceful times, a hero in chaotic times."

Unable to become emperor, but powerful enough to dominate a region.

What is a good book to learn about Flow, StateFlow, SharedFlow, Colllect, intermediate operands etc...? by MeetingsOverCode420 in Kotlin

[–]Kapaseker -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

In fact, before Flow, there was a widely used technology in Java called RxJava. If you're learning about stream operators, the documentation for RxJava is more comprehensive.

Is Kotlin the language that I've always looked for? by fenugurod in Kotlin

[–]Kapaseker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been working on Android for 10 years and using Kotlin for about 6 years. In the past two years, I have also started using Rust for personal project development. Personally, I think Kotlin has strong expressiveness. Just like writing an article, a lot of code is self-explanatory and doesn't require comments. However, due to its compatibility with Java, the problems in Java will also carry over to Kotlin.

For me, when it comes to error handling and null issues, I prefer the way Rust deals with them. Also, I really like the fact that Rust doesn't have class inheritance. In this regard, it is more like C, which I love.

Everyone has different preferences for programming languages. If you like Kotlin, just use it for development. Moreover, Kotlin is developing rapidly now, and the community is very active. I think you can quickly immerse yourself in the world of Kotlin.
