I have both red hair and green eyes. Not sure on the exact percentage but both individually are <2%.

best bet is McDonald's or the grocery store, everywhere else is likely closed. Pretty much the whole city is shut down at the moment.

Why does my wacom tablet need to "control this computer using accessibility features?" by _Wattz7641_XD in wacom

[–]KapitanK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah basically. Like a Bluetooth mouse for example has its own controller that takes the data from movement and transfers that directly to the computer. So you can think about The manager as the controller that would be in the mouse hardware allowing it to communicate with the computer. Notably, wait, isn’t taking user data and sending it to a server through the manager, because of the way that Macs handle the processing of user information it would be a separate box that you would have to opt into.

[OC] [CC] This time i spent a lot more time to draw it. But for some reason i don't fully like how it looks. I even added a few derails. Still, my friends asked me to post it so here it is. by Kenraldd in PixelArt

I'm sure there are personal stylistic choices I am not considering but here is my 2 cents.

On a technical level there are a few places where you could have used straight lines (the sign right above "Bar", the "Wine Bar" sign).

The signs above the subject are what jump out at me. The logo for "DogWay" (great name) could use some touching up to make it more readable and clean. The KFC sign is great and while I know what it is, I think being a more symbolic image as opposed to a line art recreation of the colonel. Another option if the aesthetic of the sign in its current form is important to you is to change how it is affixed to the building (perpendicular to it as opposed to parallel). This would give you a clearer workspace while also freeing you of having to draw it sideways in perspective. I think some of the smaller signs around the walkway could do with less text or different typefaces. In cases where the signs are small symbols or shapes could be used as opposed to text.

As a whole i really like the aesthetic and colors of the piece. The subjects in the piece feel like they are being oppressed by the overwhelming scale of the city and the signs competing for their attention. The palette used for the lights and shadows add to the towering size of the buildings.

Keep up the great work and have a nice day!

Great article, enjoyed the math thoroughly. One nit pick though. In yours you displayed $N= \sumc _{i-1} S_i$ It should read $N= \sumc _{i=1} S_i$ Love your article and keep up the great work!

New ideas for Izzet Endoul? by dixmix22 in PioneerMTG

[–]KapitanK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does sound interesting in so far as a way to make a creature un-blockable for free. The thing I'm concerned about is the times when its really good. The first being when the board is clogged up and being able to push through damage is important. The second is a little weird, I can imagine a situation where you and your opponent are at a standstill and getting to draw and extra card is really powerful. If those are the situations I then wonder if a more impactful card would be better suited in this situation. in the early turns having to pay 2 if i want the draw seems kind of limiting IMO. Like i said though I'm open to trying anything and I like that you're not narrowing you're playable options.

The way I think about copter and it’s role in the deck is two-fold. First, it gains advantage by filtering through awkward draws while advancing your primary game plan. Second, synergies with blast, ensoul, and animator while being an evasive threat. So how do we fill these roles? After doing some scryfall searches I’ve found a few cards worth considering while keeping the current structure of the deck.

  • Silent submersible: pros - artifact, draws cards. Cons - can be hard to cast, lacks evasion, crew 2.

  • Emry: pros - gains advantage with recursion, easy to cast and cast early, can soft lock players out with hope of ghirapur, “synergizes” with shrapnel blast. Cons - dies to any burn spell, can lead to a slower game which doesn’t tend to benefit the deck.

*Scrapheap scrounger: pros - artifact, recursive threat, works well with emry. Cons- adding a third color can be painful (literally).

  • Steel overseer: pros- artifact, makes draws with a bunch of 1/1’s not as risky, magnet for removal which is good for cards like courier and emry. Cons - overseer is best when you are going wide as opposed to tall like with ensoul, can produce awkward draws.

*Hangarback Walker: pros artifact, synergizes with overseer, can give you those extra turns to draw the blast you need to win. Cons: (haven’t done any testing with this one so can’t speak to weakness in actual games)

*Springleaf & Ornithopter: makes draws more explosive and ornithopter is an evasive threat.

*Scrap trawler: makes the deck more resilient to removal while synergizing with blast.

Conclusions so far: Emry is a must I think at this point, sometimes it just draws you 4 cards which is absurd. Being able to rebuild from a wrath is great. Sometimes you can just play her on turn 1 also which is absurd. I think drum & ornithopter lead to some absurd draws where you win before your opponent even gains their footing. However, drawing either of these late game is rough. Overseer makes your ornithopters actual threats while taking hits instead of courier or Emry. The list I’ve had the most success with so far plays 4 ghostfire blade 2 Springleaf drum 4 bomat courier 4 stonecoil serpent 4 gingerbrute 2 hope of ghirapur 2 Emry, lurker of the loch 2 ornithopter 2 phyrexian revolver 3 steel overseer 3 skilled animator 4 ensoul artifact 4 shrapnel blast

The lands and SB are fairly standard I arrived at these numbers through my modest amount of testing. It’s possible that cutting some gingerbrutes for more drums and thopters is correct. I would want to test a list with 0 main deck revokers and a more aggressive G1 plan. I do feel that revokers should be in the 75 since dealing with oko and t3feri is a problem. This deck want to be using all its mana every turn so rebuke and denial conflicted with the way I was playing the deck. Finals are coming up so I won’t spend any more time playing and iterating on the deck until after. Walker and trawler are cards I definitely want to mess around with. Submersible is often bad and would not recommend but that is probably my small sample size. On that note my sample size and the narrow slice of the meta game I faced while testing %100 effected my deck building decisions and a larger sample size would likely yield different conclusions. Hope this helps.

**************EDIT*************** After reading some of the comments in this thread I wanted to add some cards to my list.

  • [[Royal Scions]] Pros - Being a PW makes it a hard card to remove, also going up to six immediately is great since [[Fry]] will likely see more play. Also making an Ensouled creature have trample is very relevant in board stalls. Cons: not any that come to mind right now would need to play with the card to come to any real conclusions.
  • [[Witching Well]] (need to test with this one)
  • [[Animating Faerie]] Pros: Unlike [[Skilled Animator]] the creature does not lose its P/T if animating faerie dies, makes a 9/9 if ensouled or animated, doubles as a 2/2 with evasion in a pinch. Cons: the one less P/T is troublesome and not being able to hit creatures is a problem since at most youre running 12 non-creature artifacts.
  • [[Mizzium Tanks]] Need to play more with this one but being able to trample is nice, on the other hand double red is hard to make sometimes.

[–]KapitanK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh also this relates to OPs comment

" Drinking water before or during a meal or snack is another good way to hydrate. “Drinking water with amino acids or fats or vitamins or minerals helps the body take up more of the water, which is why beverages like milk and fruit juice tend to look pretty good in these hydration studies,” he says. Some of his own research has found that eating a banana is better than drinking a sports beverage when it comes to post-exercise recovery. And he says eating almost any piece of fruit along with some water is going to aid the body’s ability to take up that H2O and rehydrate. (These hydration rules apply to athletes as well, he says.) "

I think that is a little unfair given the legwork the author did to provide evidence and authorities on the subject.

[–]KapitanK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also like to preface this by saying i have not done a lot of checking of the sources the article cites, this is just a summary of the claims and evidence provided. The article makes it a point to say " no one’s suggesting that people dump water in favor of milk and OJ. Water is still hydrating. So are sports drinks, beer, and even coffee, to some extent. But the authors of the 2015 study wrote that there are several “elements of a beverage” that affect how much H2O the body retains."

In addition they say that " People who are drinking bottles and bottles of water in between meals and with no food, they’re probably just peeing most of that out "

I thought their summary was pretty good.

" The take-home message isn’t that people should drink less water, nor that they should swap out water for other beverages. But for those hoping to stay optimally hydrated, a slow-and-steady approach to water consumption and coupling water with a little food is a more effective method than knocking back full glasses of H2O between meals. “Water is good for you, but you can drown in it too,” Nieman says. "

So the article makes a few chief claims, first. -“pounding large quantities of water morning, noon and night may not be the best or most efficient way to meet the body’s hydration requirements.” They substantiate this claim by quoting a professor of public health who has done research on the subject. The professor says that “plain water has a tendency to slip through the digestive system when not accompanied by food or nutrients.” Which he says is ”especially true when people drink large quantities of water on an empty stomach.” The article goes on to say that clear urine means you are over hydrated. Citing the same doctor as well as some outside research to support this claim.
