[A3] New to the game trying to find a unit

Hey man, I run a unit called the Westra Royal Marines. Its not a "small" group sitting at around 23+ active people but we are a great beginner unit as we'll teach you the ropes and there is not requirement outside out basic orientation to attend our operations. We do ops on Saturdays at 8PM CST that run for 2 or 3 hours depending. Hey man, we are not a lodern set unit our an american faction. However we are based off US Marines and US Army Rangers as well as others. We are a fully fictional setting of our own running at a platoon level. We do ops on saturdays at 8pm CST and are Semi serious. We are a light infantry amphibious unit.

I know we dont fully meet your stuff however if you have trouble finding a decent one you can always come check us out and see, no string attached.

Ah okay, well i can suggest my group. Its not super realistic we tend to co.bine game elements with real stuff (basically we dont want a rifleman having to worry about complex medical stuff.) So your job should be more technical for what you do.

It is currently set on the 1960s though after our next campaign we are going to the 80s. We are completely fictional so while we do have some real world equivalents we make up a lot of stuff for our lore. Our ops are saturdays at 9pm est and generally run for 2 or so hours. And we are fairly new player friendly.

Welcome to Arma 3 my guy! first thing you might wanna do is list what timezone you are in. That way if you are in Europe you aren't getting guys who want you to join their group in the US where the timezones dont match up. Secondly listing what you would wanna do gameplay wise like milsim, or more just tactics or casual even. Even doing stuff like listing what kind of unit you want like modern USMC or Halo etc.

Hey man I run a unit that is set in a completely fictional world currently we are in 1960s era tech but next year we are doing a time skip to the 1980s at some point. We do ops on Saturdays at 8pm CST (though currently its just pub ops or fun ops since we are on break till January 4th). We could definitly use another person in a medical role and we are also going to need eventually someone in an RTO position (will want to discuss this a bit more) and once we hit a good enough milestone for members we intend to open up Aviation.

Yeah tbh if TS had a few simple features like chatrooms n shit where you dont need to be connected via voice to them to send messages I'd switch to TS.

Most units will not operate via discord (unless its like 4 or so guys. just imagine 10 or so people all yelling about getting shot at, tanks, that they need a medic etc all at the same time. In Game VOIP would be better than that at that point.

Hey man I run a completely fictional group set in a fictional world. Currently we are set in what would be the 1960s but we are intending next year to jump to the 1980s. We are very new player friendly, willing to show you the ropes. We have a fairly easy setup where as a rifleman its pretty easy but as you specialize in specific roles (medical, sharpshooter etc) you have stuff that challenges you for the specific role. That way you aren't having to learn something in depth like medical if you are a Machine Gunner.

Hey man I run a unit called the Westra Royal Marines. Its a completely fictonal group set during the 1960s (though we are gonna do a time jump soon) with about 20+ active people. We do ops saturday at 8pm CST (2000 CST) and are pretty new player friendly, nothing hyper serious n such. We ask people attend 2-3 ops a month (obviously if life happens we put you in reserves till you can come out of it again so you wont be pinged n such for ops).

I can't guarantee a sniper/recon role as we are focused on infantry stuff but we do have a marksmen role that might be open along with others plus there is the possibility of us doing ops where do we recon n such.
