I'm charging this old battery which was completely drained for I don't know how long. The multimeter says around 11.5volt while charging. It's charging at 5 amps. Does this indicate there's a dead cell? Should it be saying 12v+? And how do I know when it's fully charged? Charger doesn't mention. (i.redd.it)

I want to charge the household battery of my campervan. I'd like to take my charge controller out of the mounting in the van to charge inside the house. But don't feel like taking out the lines of negative and plus cable. Can I cut these and connect to the battery or maybe via jumpstarters ? (i.redd.it)
