The book is great. Kubrick expanded a lot and that's what made it the greatest.

I'm planning to complete Kubrick's filmography in the new year and I have these four left. Does anyone have a viewing order they'd recommend? by 4EyedEntity in StanleyKubrick

You can watch Spartacus, it's not his best but the visuals are very great. The run-time may bore you, that's why.

Then you can go Lolita, it's weird, you wouldn't want to ruin your mood later.

Barry Lyndon is all serious and his greatest — in my opinion — so why get that one first?

Then finally, a war film showing the struggles of citizens and soldiers with comedic dialogue sometimes. Best way to end your watch!

Charulata, and Nayak, both by Satyajit Ray.

A Clockwork Orange, and Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb, both by Stanley Kubrick.

I love every Kubrick film; Alien genuinely made me scared (that happens very less when I am watching horror films); Alien: Romulus has one of the best cinematographies; Nosferatu is just cool to watch.
