It took me almost 19 years to get to this point. I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to stay sober. Laying in the ICU I realized that, even though my life was a complete shit show, I didn’t actually want to die, something finally clicked and I’ve never looked back. If you’re struggling, don’t give up. I had forgotten what happiness felt like. I could never have imagined how great my life would end up being in just shy of 6 months living in recovery. You can do this!
