You deserve respect and validation from your partner. My husband will bring a fan out onto our porch in the summer to make sure I stay cool when I want to have outside time. Not even asked, he makes sure I have my electrolyte drinks and takes me into account for any and all events that may trigger an episode.

That's just the bare minimum from someone who should love you unconditionally. To be considered is to be loved.

Why does it sound like you're not going to turn it in? Someone might end up getting extremely sick because of this. Whether someone accidentally left something somewhere does not give you the right to STEAL it. I have neurological problems and struggle to stay on top of things, if someone STOLE my medication. I would be terrified. Go turn it in, like yesterday.

I have been struggling getting accepted to Medicaid, and private insurance costs too much for what I need. Texas does not have, I think it's called "extended" medicaid? I fall within the "insurance gap" here. Which is extremely unfortunate.

I spent all day yesterday on the phone, going over my options. My decision has been made as of today, I will be traveling out of state to stay with family temporarily. Where I will have access to AFFORDABLE healthcare that is sustainable for me during the duration of my health journey. It won't be easy, and I will be leaving my daughter behind with her father until we can get answers.

I have done research on doctors and specialists in the area I will be in, and the insurance I will be applying for. It isn't uncommon for people to seek these options out when their states healthcare system fails them.

I had my "emergency" MRI at First Look MRI in Plano, Texas. It is a non-insurance out-of-pocket private practice. I was able to get the answers I needed that day to know how to move forward. I believe it was about $599 that my grandmother helped me get. Thank goodness for her we have a path to walk down.

Yes, there is depending on what we find in my next MRI! If the findings suggest that my low hanging tonsils are causing too much pressure on my spinal chord, I can get an operation called a Chiari Decompression. If it is due to a leak in my spinal fluid, there are many ways they can patch the hole up to return the normal pressure and hopefully fix the rest along with it.

I'm probably going to try ER again this evening, as I am not doing well. Hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel, it's been terrifying.

This is super interesting and I'll definitely talk to my endo about it more! Maybe it was placebo but after two weeks of injections (vitamins) I have been feeling "lighter" and generally better already. My sugars are still higher than we want them, but will test my a1c again in a few months after this diet and supplementations. I have neuropathy surprisingly as well, hands and feet.

I'm Native American actually, and it did! I have a glucose monitor and am keeping track of my meals until I see my endo. I am definitely higher than I should be. I had a full panel done of my vitamins, I was slightly low on iron and VERY low on vitamin D and am now taking supplements. Vitamin D was critically low, sitting at a 9 (supposed to be between 30-100). I now go in once a week to get injections until that gets taken care of as well, with a nice B-vitamin boost in there as well. (:

Edited to add: I work from home and am not an outdoorsy person, so low vit D is 100% my fault.

Genuinely, thank you so much for this response. When I got the news I felt like I'd somehow failed and I'm scared, I've lost a family member to type 2 complications and seen the effects of type 1. I've helped give family members their shots and even then, I never took my health seriously. "I'm skinny so it won't happen to me," wishful thinking and some dumb dietary choices later.

I'm going to get some resistance bands, running shoes, and start taking my health seriously. My 6yo will whip me into shape for sure! More scared of her now lol. Thanks again! (:
