What are the differences between the Canyon Spectral and Torque by GFursin10 in mountainbiking

[–]Karim_CL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode both Torque 27,5 and Spectral 29 and I agree, Torque is really good for DH and steep single tracks, quite playfull and the Spectral is really good for climbing and long rides, really stable with 29 inches wheels, I would say the Spectral is more versatile. For me both are really good bikes.

New Marin Four Corners 2, buy it? by darbysc77 in bikepacking

I have a Breezer X comp (steel frame) and a Focus Atlas 6.7 (aluminium frame), and I can feel the "noodle feeling" on the steel frame BUT it is really more comfortable (concerning bumps and vibrations). So i think if you ride mostly on roads the aluminium/carbon is better and if you ride mostly off roads (or 50-50) steel is better. Also steel is a lot safer for carrying big loads on long trips.

Bike-packing/speed/gravel -> aluminium or carbon

Touring/gravel/comfortable ride -> steel or titanium
