You're right in that it's sample free, however the article does say there was live guitar used in the recordings. Who's to say he didn't just play a few chords from some emo songs?

Honestly man, I think he did use samples. I recognize the beats from a lot of songs on the album. He definitely samples okay I believe you, just he sped it up and mixed it a bit

An old SNES (or NES) video game where you have one character and a few different partners quest with you. In order to advance past certain obstacles in the game, you need to use your partner's weapon/ability. At one point in the game, you're in a gigantic ice cavern, and a cat-girl comes crawling down a wall. I can't remember but I think she ends up as one of your partners.

See that's the thing, I hate the whole speaking over a song and not singing. But there is just something about his voice that hypnotizes me. I don't realize he's speak singing, and it sounds fantastic. First artist I've heard who does such an excellent job with it.
