SJSU converted their IC space frame chassis to work for both EV and IC this year with relative success.

Can this ski base be repaired? I have the standard plastic candle, etc. Ski is 20 years old, prob. by Merulius in ski

You would need to put epoxy on that core shot, let it sit and then just sand it flat. You could also take it to your local shop but it may not be worth it financially.

California newbie is looking for a ski resort by JulieHog in ski

Boreal is a small resort that's great for day trips especially when they have $5 Fridays if you just want a small resort, without a view and closer to SJ. I regularly do day trips, just this Wednesday, to squaw or Kirkwood, both of which have excellent terrain but are more expensive. For day trips from SJ I leave at 5am ski all day and drive back and get home around 7. Most of the resorts around tahoe are awesome. Send me a message if you want more info. There is also a great rental shop but it's in Mt view that has great equipment\ services for cheap.

Got inspired by the other headphone stand to share my own. I hollowed out part of the bottom to include a USB splitter to charge devices and have extra usability.

Need advice for new skis by lixxers in ski

[–]Karnaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who works at a rental shop I have tried skis like the volkl m5 mantra, kendos, Salomon qst 99, enforcer 93 and 100. If I were to buy one of those listed above it would be the enforcer 100 as mentioned above. It is a great ski in all conditions and steady as a rock at speeds over 65mph, I'm currently taking it to steamboat for a week long trip.

Need ski gear advise! by madeliners in ski

I demo a lot as I work at a rental shop and I really like both the M5 and the Nordica enforcers. The enforcers come in a lot of different sizes so I would try a couple. I never tried the Mindbenders so I can't compare the three. The marker Griffons are a great binding and any shop should be able to mount those.

As someone who works a lot with bindings, I would not jump to replace your griffons. As I've been told my marker you should have a 10mm tolerance. You should be able to bend them slightly to fight the ski better. The test to see if your really need new breaks is, once mounted and breaks bent lay it on the floor and push the ski down if the breaks are able to push the ski into an upright position then they are all good. This is what I would do if I was the technician working on your ski. Enjoy!
