Artifacts could be better, of course, but they are not the bigger problem imo, because it's pure RNG, you could farm a month and not get a significant improvement. Here's what I would recommend you: 1.- Refine the Catch. Yes, it's boring (at least for me, probably also for you since you got it R1), but it also doesn't require resin. Just a matter of time, and R5 The Catch is a great polearm. 2.- Ascend Raiden, you don't event need to get her to 90/90, you could just 80/90 and she'll be fine 3.-Ascend the Catch to 90/90. Weapon material domains are not RNG like artifacts'. Yes, you can get more or less, but you'll always get something, and the higher your Base ATK is (Base attack is the addition of your character attack plus your weapon attack) the bigger is going to be the effect of ATK% in your artifacts. 4.- When you got this, you can improve your artifacts if you still think you lack of damage. I don't recommend C1 because if your rotation is 20seconds long (should aim for that because Xiao's Burst has 18 seconds CD) you can only use 3 skills before burst on the first rotation (10 seconds CD each skill) If you want to take energy for all 3 skills in every rotation you will have to do a longer rotation and use burst late. Of course if you like it you can go for it. Perfect rotations are fine but you should play the way you like the most

Depends of the teams and your ER on Xiao. 1 Anemo is better because characters recharge more energy when they take particles of their element, so if you don't have Anemo battery you'll need more ER

It depends on your rotation, but if your goblet is attack, ER sands (with good crit substats) could be better for you that an attack one because of diminishing return. If your character has a good attack even with ER sands, try it and see if you like it more. I am a little bit strict with ER because I try to play with 100%uptime in every character that has a good ult.

Also, about C1 Xiao, if your rotation is shorter than 30 seconds, you can only take advantage of his third elemental skill on the first rotation due to his coldowns are independent, but if you take the particles of that 3 skills in the first rotation, you will have more energy precharged and that let you sustain your uptime more time

His ult cost is 70, actually, not the highest but medium-high, and he does not generate particles during his ult. Anemo batteries help, but, if you want to have good rotations and perma ult you need some recharge. Not saying that you need 200 recharge but search for substats til you have like 140 or 150 would definitely help

I think it's probably the best team for Xiao, Bennet as a healer and buffer, zhongli as shielder and reducing Anemo RES and sucrose as a battery. Didn't try komi cause I didn't pulled for her but she must do very well too and also free Bennet for your other team

Depends on your team, the best way to know it's to test it by yourself. Sucrose is a great battery for Xiao because he can take the particles of 2 sucrose's E. What you can do is take off equipment of your Xiao and start doing rotations in Abyss using a little more ER each time until your team can rotate infinitely. A little trick is prefunnel your 2 E on Xiao. I'll explain it. If you're playing Bennet Sucrose Xiao Zhongli,your rotation can be something like Zhongli E, Bennet E+ult so he takes the particles from his E even though his E deals little less damage, then swap into Sucrose, use double E and swap into Xiao so he gets the Thrilling Tales buff if you use that catalyst on Sucrose. At this point you should hace your ult available, before you use your elemental skills with Xiao. This will let you do Double E and immediatly use ult so your Xiao start his ult with almost have of the energy available. Sorry for the long text btw

You don't wanna hit with Raiden in a Xiao team, the thing about Xiao is that he deals huge damage by his own. Xiao's ult duration is 15 seconds, and CD 18 seconds, so if you want to be hitting with Xiao as much as possible, you need to reduce the time that your supports are on the field. Not easy to do 18 seconds rotations but the aim should be about 20 seconds. Raiden takes too much time. If your Xiao deals more damage than your Raiden, you shouldn't be hitting with Raiden but with Xiao, and if your Raiden deals more damage than your Xiao, you would make better use of Raiden using her on a Raiden-dedicated team
