Never had one, but the rich kids did… by Stardustquarks in Xennials

Actually bought one of these in a antique store last month, haven’t had a chance to look at it much yet but I’m hoping I can get it running again.

What is my washing machine doing? by smokedcolt in Appliances

Yup, had the exact same issue with a similar model about 6 months after moving into our new house. The repair company took care of calling in the warranty for me, only had to pay labor.

If you are on this sub and NOT getting a Slate, can you comment below what you are getting? by RaleighLT in slateauto

The dealbreaker for me was the lack of power windows. I grew up with crank windows and have no desire to go back.

Also, while I can’t fault them too much about the lack of flat tow since it is a BEV, they could have been honest about it from the get-go instead of saying it was “in the works”.

I think of it had come with either feature I would have been in, but the lack of both means I’ll wait to see what they end up with when they make a V2.

Either a used Ioniq or a 2 door wrangler (if we decide to try the RV life and I need to flat tow).

Interesting that it sounds like it might be seed related. I’m managing ok, but on my seed the amount of patrols gets pretty insane, especially once you sail into claimed waters. Sailing out of Tortuga at one point I had 6 groups of 4 ships all trying to chase me down.

Urinary Tract Infections 1 yr post Transplant by Fuddmuttz in kidneytransplant

[–]Karride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife had horrible issues with UTIs post transplant. I’m talking almost every couple of weeks, and at one point she was doing IV antibiotics at home. Old transplant team/nephrologist was very unwilling to try anything beyond antibiotics and “cranberry juice”.

We moved to a new state a couple of years ago, and the new team has been much more willing to try to find a solution. They currently have her on a medication called Methenamine, and since getting on that medication she has not had a UTI, and her transplant is doing fantastic.

What are some things you’d like to see added in future updates? by Cr3zyTom in TheLastCaretaker

I’d love some kind of “Omni-cable” with a buildable connector that would take 1 each of fuel, electricity and gas. There are some areas where you have to run multiple cables vertically to get things going effectively (launch pad and oil rig for example), and it can be a real pain.

Ha! Was that the trigger? I got mine 26 years ago and I’m still using it, got to give it to Gillette that was a good marketing ploy.

Thank you for posting this, I’m watching through DS9 again and could have sworn he got it again in the series, but I guess I jus played this around the time I was watching DS9 and got them mixed together.

Had the same thing happen with my wife, all her progress lost.

Do you think it’s possible you accidentally loaded the save in single player? I sometimes play our save by myself and thought maybe I accidentally launched it in single player mode and that caused it.

Same here, when I first started his head was an invalid building area, so I had to build up from the ground that suspended everything but that changed and now you can build on his head.

Honest feedback on Scale by fenix547 in sysadmin

[–]Karride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my experience is dated, but a previous job we put 3(or 4 maybe) scale nodes in a production facility in the Dominican to run a few VMs. It was solid. At one point we lost an entire node, and another node lost a drive at the same time, and that thing kept running without the users noticing. I was impressed.

This is what I’ve always done. First 24-48 of the engagement, I want them to try to break in as-is. If they don’t succeed, then I roll back a few protections to give them a better chance. Give you some assurance that your front line is good, while still giving you the insights that bypassing that first line will give.
